The self rightious act was getting old, and Suki was not going to put up with it much longer. Blaze failed to see the situation they were in, or even to see how Suki went about his business. Prior to the five year treaty, he would not have even thought about populating planets like Marvok or Epoch. It is only because of the war, and his recent change in direction that he even cared enough to move forward as a warlord in this time.
"What do you know about destiny?"
He was destined to fail. That was a rather intense statement that Suki knew to be untrue. If destiny played a role in any of this, Suki would have been defeated long ago, and good would have triumphed over evil. But it had not.
"Blaze we do not live in a fairy tale. The strongest fist rules the day, and if people fear me for it than so be it. I do what is necessary, and will continue to do so. Kanassa, marvok, and Epoch all fell to my hand with little civilian casualty."
He spoke of Marvok as if it had already happened. Although Serori had only recentely landed there, Suki was certain that she, above anyone else, would find a rather peaceful way to conquer the planet. Considering what Suki once was, this was a remarkable turn around.

Blaze nodded. "The strongest fist rules the day. But that streingth does not just come from you and your army. It comes from your people as well. All the people of Kold and the other captured plannets are loyal to you. But only because they have to be."
He took a look around the throne room. "What if... the people lost their fear? They found something new to put hope in? or maybe something happens to you that weakens you. Then without that fear, there will be no loyalty." Blaze shook his head. "Thats when everything you've worked for will go to shit. no fear, no loyalty. No loyalty, no power."
Not the best conversation to have with someone who could kill you with a thought. Yet, Blaze smiled. "But... to gain the peoples loyalty... without fear..." Blaze nodded. "A feared ruler is powerful, yes. But a loved leader is unstoppable, Suki. Imagine that. No matter if something happened to you or your solders, the people would still keep their loyalty to you."
Blaze looked back at Suki and walked up to him He stopped about three feet away from his superior, ready for anything."Lifes no fairy tale. But it dosn't need to be a living hell either. Make them fear you, they'll stay because they have to. Get them like you, and they will stay because they want to. And being liked by your people is quite a punch to the gut for rival factions. It could also sway other planets towards us without the need of all the time, resources and lives required to take one over. Its a method of achieving your goal that has a much higher success rate and a longer term of rule. And very little chance of loosing it all."
Blaze knew Suki wouldn't likely just cave and give it a try. But he hoped that Suki would at least think on Blaze's words. Maybe... something he said would sink in or get through. Advice. Thats all this was. Blaze knew once he received this job it would be hard. Telling Lord Suki what he should or should not do... Well, Blaze's live insurance considers his job an act of attempted suicide.
But it didn't bother him. Someone had to do it. And do it right. Blaze won't just tell Suki what he wanted to hear, he was there to tell him exactly what he needed to hear weather he liked it or not. And Blaze would take a ki blast or a shit-kicking to make his point. Just hopefully it wouldn't come to that.

Blazes vision was just, and good. His intentions were in the right place, and as a leader thats exactly what people wanted out of him. Unfortunately Suki knew the darker side of things. He for the longest time had been the darker side of the world, and it was clear to him that such happiness was not only nearly impossible to achieve, but utterly pointless for success.
"You have made a valid point Blaze. Gaining the peoples hearts will make them happier and more willing to stay...and yet"
Suki turned back around, no longer facing the Icer advisor. He was leaving the room this time for good, he had been awake far to long, and had nightmares to get to. Truly even in his dreams he could not escape the reality of his actions, or of the future events that would unfold.
"Regardless of if they fear me...or love me... I rule over them, and there is nothing they can do about it, nor nothing I can do to change their minds"
It was true, and suki would have elaborated further but his mind was weary from the entire conversation. His prior actions would forever dictate who he was in the eyes of others, and suki knew that. To change pace now would only bring on more chaos. He would be seen as weak, confused, and even scared. And that he was, all of those things. But he had the ability to destroy entire worlds with the flick of his index finger. He had the ability to beat the strongest fighters in the universe, sands the possibility of Geurin outdoing him. The only thing he had in this fight was the fear of the people, and there would be no way to change their minds.
His actions now were different, but there was no way he could have Blaze understand. In order to understand he would have to be tormented by it day by day, and it was understandable that the situation seemed so clear to him. And yet it was not, for if Suki were to step even slightly in the wrong direction, he would be run down by those around him.

From the very start, Blaze knew this was not going to get through to Suki. Yet, Blaze was glad to have his ideals set out in the open for Suki to see. And to Blaze's amazement, Suki seemed to understand Blaze's point. But Suki had his ways. His mind was corrupted by darkness that Blaze couldn't see or understand. Maybe one day, the darkness would begin to clear some.
Blaze leaned up against a wall as Suki was walking out, and let out a soft sigh. "There... is so much you could do to change their minds, my lord." He said, mostly to himself. He wished he had said it louder for him to hear.
All in all, Blaze was happy to be around though. Suki wasn't as horrible as the stories made him out to be. The things said today should have gotten him killed according to the rumors, but now Blaze knew more about what he thought was the real Touketsuki Yakedo. A confused, lost individual who isn't really a bad guy. He just had some issues to work out and a lot on his plate.
It's a shame nobody else was able to see anything else in him but a tyrant.
(Done, PL please!)
