And in an instant he is in the middle of an endless meadow of flowers each, a visage of life’s elegance, more beautiful than the last. Off in the distance the horizon was framed by rolling hills and, beyond that, snowcapped mountains. Overwhelmed, Sohko took a step back and threw his gaze to the sky, hoping to clear his head for the glory of Heaven inundated him.
The sky was an inspiring shade of blue, without a single cloud to be seen. It made him sad, for the first moment since his arrival, for he used to like lying and watching the clouds. His fond memory became reality as puffy white clouds emerged from the beyond the distant mountains. Sohko smiled brightly and had to remind himself to breathe. Heaven was a glorious place and he hoped that when he died his final death someday that he may retire to its endless fields.
“Someday… Someday.”
However he was far from that day, there was still much to be done. Although he was still mighty sore from his match with Kazama on the Southern Kaioshin’s planet, when Kasai told him of Vegeta’s predicament, especially with the aligning of Earth’s and Kold’s forces, he knew he had to return to life immediately. Saiyan blood flowed through his veins and it urged him to his martial duty; the defense of Planet Vegeta and the Saiyan race.
The Order of the Kensaru needed him as well. Its twisted leader had paid for Sohko’s death and needed to suffer for it. Just as well, the Saiyan planned to learn as much about his parent’s death as the wretch could muster. He knew with the techniques he had learned from the mighty Kasai Kage that he could usurp the tyrant and reclaim the mantle of Kyo which had been his family’s right since the Order’s inception.
There was much to be done, yet one tasked remained before he could set upon the missions before him. He had to meet the Dai Kaioshin; Overseer of the Universe. Kasai Kage had been quite vague, failing to even mention how he would seek out the one known as Kensei – The Sword Saint.
“Oh boy, oh boy.”
Looking around and focusing hard to try and sense any vast power level, Sohko found nothing. Obviously you cannot just FIND him he’s the god of gods, the saiyan thought to himself. He began to walk, every so often reaching down to run his hands gently across an exceptional flower which drew his eye. While his teacher had said little, the little he revealed made Sohko giddy with excitement.
Resting his hand on the hilts of his swords, the tailed warrior tried his best to contain his zeal. Being obsessed with swords and the art of fighting with them, the idea of meeting the greatest swordsman in the universe made him slightly lightheaded. He feared what the Dai Kaioshin might think of him, wishing that the Sword Saint would approve of the lowly bladesmith from Vegeta.
The anxiety only worsened when he thought of what Kensei might say, what he might ask. Did Sohko really deserve another shot? Sometimes he didn’t even know himself…

Kazama opened his eyes and felt the breeze on his face. He remembered talking to Heiwa and that he had mentioned something to the majin that he could not make out. Then all of a sudden he blacked out. He had no doubt that it was due to some kind of telekinesis trick he performed on Kazama's mind but he was not sure why. He glanced around him to see what his surroundings were and to his surprise it was like a paradise, a garden of Eden. The gravity had returned to a lower degree as he didn't feel the extra pull on his body.
Kazama rolled onto his back and then flipped up onto his feet with a kip up. There was nothing around him but beautiful green pastors, the occasional tree and from what he could tell a group of people off in the distance, far off distance. There was almost no power level around except for one notable presence. He turned around and saw Sohko standing off to himself admiring the scenery. Kazama's temper flared for a quick second before he beat it back into its place. The sparing match was one of the few times that Kazama had been over powered by his opponent and it did little to Kazama's pride as a fighter. But seeing as how it was his friend that had happened to fight him to a draw he would over look it. He didn't have enough friends to hold grudges. He began to walk over to his friend slowly while he enjoyed the view and breeze.
"Sohko! You get transported here too? Tell me you at least were told about what was happening!" Kazama yelled over to his friend.
As he plodded over he could not help but let his feet sink into the ground more than he originally would. It bugged him on a minor level just because of his perfectionist streak he had developed over the last several years. The sinking was caused by heavier clothing that Heiwa had been gracious enough to create for his pupil. Kazama had been told that they were weighted in a way to specifically increase his training and would be very useful in real life. The majin had been skeptical of the bracelets, boots, and belt would truly make a difference at all.
"I really hate being left in the dark so often..." Kazama grumbled to himself.

A silhouetted figure is held above the peak of the highest mountain, a cold breeze whipping through his crimson mohawk. A sword shimmers with translucent energy, curving and dancing through the air with no arm to hold it, nor no eyes to guide it. The figure himself held only his eyes shut and his feet together, his legs pulled in towards his average-sized frame in a meditative stance. The entire universe spreads out around his gaze, hundreds of billions of stars littering his sight, and vast swatches of darkness threatening to reach up and consume the Dai Kaioshin. Occasionally they flicker, explode; due to both nature and sentience, those mortal races leading to the ends of nature throughout the entire plane of existence that Kensei had been designated to protect. Still, though, they were the only ones who could truly enjoy such a realm; and thus, Kensei let them pillage and corrupt the stars, for it was the one above him who had given them light, given them life.
Still, in a way he despised them; mortals had never touched his heart in any meaningful way. The planes of heaven below contained the best souls, those not sent to hell nor reincarnated back to the mortal realm in limbo, and yet they were not interesting nor entertaining. Nor did they really seem intelligent; perhaps the reason they were in heaven, were 'good', was that they were ignorant of the true ways of the universe. The fact was, the realm was not conscious, and it did not care about mortal quandaries, insipid dilemmas. Many of his allies and 'workers', as he thought of them, the Cardinal Kaio's who he lead; they did not truly understand the universe. They were not in-tune to the waves, the thundering beat, that Kensei had learned to listen to.
And that was probably way Kensei felt the presence of two 'marked' students of the Kaio-samas, one after another. His eyes flickered open, and the universe fades away, replaced by a snowed mountaintop and rocks. The Sword Saint smiles. Yes. How very amiable of his recruits to want to have their students returned to life.
He stands up, and with a 'thuum' disappears from the mountaintop...
To right in front of Sohko and Kazama, his blade still twisting and dancing through the air non-chalantly. In an instant he sees that the saiyan warrior was also a blade master, and a forger. Kensei could also see that Sohko yearned for something. Something to pollute his body with. That would disrupt his craft, surely; he had gone several years dead and detoxed. They both had pure hearts, and to Kensei that was a strange thing for a magical creation such as Kazama. In the past, their creators and master's had proclaimed themselves gods, and their monsters would do their bidding. This 'majin' construct, though, was no monster but a truly sentient being, with motivations outside of fighting and death.
"I know why you are here. But tell me, why should I?" He turns away. "The universe looks after itself."

"Sohko! You get transported here too? Tell me you at least were told about what was happening!"
The sound of his friend’s voice shook him from his transcendental walk. Pulling his head from the clouds, the saiyan turned to his friend and smiled genuinely.
“Aye! Yeah, Kasai smacked me upside the head and next thing I know, bam, I’m here. Before he Gibbs me though Kage said I had to stand before the Dai Kaioshin. It is his decision whether or not I get brought back to life. I’m guessing the same goes for you, bub.”
Sohko’s eyes dropped to the crimson majin’s belt and then to his boots. They were different from before, now similar to his own boots and gloves.
“Nice weighted clothing! Now we both have some! Heiwa give those to you? That adorable chubby bastard seems like a good guy, all Kasai ever gave me was a knuckle sandwich. On an entirely unrelated note, if Kage ever asks you if you’re hungry just… Say… No.”
Before their reunion could continue, Sohko fell silent and spun towards the majestic snowcapped mountains far in the distance. The tailed warrior felt an energy fluctuation, similar to the one created by the Western Kaioshin’s Blink technique, originating from that direction. An instant later a fair skinned man sporting a red Mohawk appeared before him. His sheer power and the feeling his aura had on Sohko made him step back.
“Holy shnike!”
The man’s studious eyes, truly void of visible, if any, emotion, rested on him before taking pause on Kazama. Returning his gaze back to the two of them he finally spoke, his voice defined by its near tangible authority, and the smallest hint of contempt.
"I know why you are here. But tell me, why should I?" Turning away he finished with “The universe looks after itself."
His power confused the saiyan, who had never encountered a presence of this magnitude. Not even Kasai or Heiwa, viable gods in their own right, measured up to this creature. However it was more than just power, his mere essence was humbling. It could only be Kensei, so naturally he began to think of his answer to the question which hung in the air.
Eyes shifting to the side of the new presence, he then catches sight of a dancing sword, derailing the attention span of the saiyan. It struck and parried as if fighting some invisible opponent yet no one stood at the other end. Sohko had seem telekinetics who used weapons, but never with such fluidity and grace. It was as if it had been giving a mind of its own. Given that it radiated the same energy as the new entrant of the conversation, the saiyan guessed it was technique. Then he could not hold his zeal back any longer, his obsessive curiosity combined with his love of magic and, more importantly, for swords; both as a bladesmith and a swordsman. It made for an interesting cocktail of conflicting emotions which drove him to act somewhat like a giddy schoolgirl as he leapt to the possessed weapon’s side.
“Oh my god! So. Freaking. Cool. The craftsmanship is without imperfection, from the hilt to the tip of the blade. Ornate yet practical and I sense a magical presence, no doubt it is enchanted. Enhanced durability? Strength? Maybe it enhances the user’s ability? Hmmm… What is it made of? I doubt steel, too ordinary. It isn’t katchin, my family is one of the only known molders of it, not to mention it looks nothing like it. Is it adamantium? Or is it a mythical ore I’ve read of, like ooro or vibranium?”
Sohko didn’t realize how far off base he had become, now completely forgetting the question the overseer of the universe asked. Obsessed with the masterful sword, he had lost his attention span entirely, becoming focused entirely on the beautiful weapon before him.

Kazama was amazed by the speed of the man that had appeared out of nowhere. He moved through the universe as if he was simply a part of it or something. It was far beyond his understanding how the man did it but just by the aura he was giving off the majin did not question it much. The aura was that he was picking up on was that the man that stood before him was no doubt wise beyond his years which he could only assume were a lot because of him being a kaioshin and that he was somehow in tune with the universe. But all of the seriousness of the situation would be thrown right out the window by his ever lovable saiyan companion who had spotted a sword.
“Oh my god! So. Freaking.
Kazama paused for a moment before laughing quietly to himself. He had forgotten how amusing Sohko could be after being stuck with Heiwa for so long. Kazama was far from a man with a huge sense of humor but the Northern Kaioshin seemed dense at times and Kazama did not find his sense of humor very enjoyable when he did try to show it. The majin let out a sigh as he looked over at Sohko then he turned back to the man that had appeared. Kazama still had no idea where he was and why he was here. The only guess he could have now was that Heiwa had decided the time for his training had ended and that he needed to return to the world of the living.
“I frankly have no idea on why you should bring me back to life,” Kazama started, “I have done nothing but hurt those that have always been around me. I destroyed my home, my creators, the ones I loved, and my friends at times. I have failed in almost every way possible. So why Heiwa feels I deserve to come back from the dead is beyond me. I hesitate to even ask for a moment more of your time. I have failed to protect the ones I want to then…” Kazama hesitated. “Heiwa has given me strength and knowledge to protect…I just wish I could actually protect someone I care about.”
Kazama no doubt was coming off as rather sappy but he was conflicted. Part of him knew that staying dead would be better for everyone he cared about while the other part wanted a second chance. A chance to actually do right for once. Kazama hesitated before speaking again he was not sure how to proceed to the unknown kaioshin.

The mohawked Kaioshin saint could not help but smile on the inside; refusing to tip his hand to the souls he was ever stoic on the outside. Heiwa and Kasai had managed to put aside their petty rivalry long enough to train what appeared to be two deserving souls. They had finally lived up to the potential that he had seen in them so many years ago. So now the question fell upon him to decide what the fate of these two souls was going to be.
Standing before him was a Saiyan that through Kasai’s training had chosen to give up his personal vices most particularly his drinking. In doing so the Western Kaioshin had prepared him in a way that he could think cleared headed while he was trying to protect the ones that he cared about. He had the potential to do so but it was a matter of him living up to that potential.
Then there was the Majin that was trained by Heiwa in a manner to try do what he wanted to do. That was supposedly to protect the ones that he cared about as well. Though he was much more skeptical of the Majin due to the fact that Kensei had never encountered a Majin that did anything but destroy everything around them. But looking into the Majin’s heart he could not see any malcontent in his heart. Heiwa had done a very good job rehabilitating him.
“It shall happen. Both of you shall be placed where you are most needed.” Kensei stated with a stoic expression and a monotone voice. With a snap of his fingers the two of them disappeared from Heaven and were once again placed in the world of the living. They were placed where they would be needed the most.
