“We were not yet strong enough… we made a fools mistake.” [/i] Abaddon’s voice chided spitefully in the back of Azmodan’s head. He paced the room back and forth his tail swishing back and forth like a pendulum, the way it did when Azmodan, or now in this case Abaddon was upset.

“Well how was I supposed to know Suki would react like that? You’d think someone who does that much evil would like a little chaos now and then… What would possibly be more chaotic then invading heaven?” Azmodan shrugged and then let out a small laugh. Abaddon was clearly not pleased. An intense pain filled the front of the Icer’s head and forced him to a need.

“It does not do well to have a demon lord of my stature brought down by a mere mortal…. Though powerful he may be.” [/i]

Azmodan slowly regained his feet; Asmodeous joined them in the small chamber. Their army had retreated upon destruction of thousands of their own in a single action by the Icer. Azmodan hadn’t dreamed that such power was possible. Would he be able to attain something like that? Abaddon smiled at the thought, Azmodan could feel the demon’s evil smile in the back of his mind.

“I know a way. It will cost you. It will not be easy. But there is a way to obtain a great deal of power in a short time.” [/i]

Azmodan smiled.

Down in the deep dark pits of hell was a tree bearing a single fruit. This fruit was told to give an unknown amount of power if eaten, but no one has actually seen this fabled tree. It is said that there are three stages to making it to this tree.

Step one was to walk through complete darkness. You have to rely on every other sense instead of your sight to make it to a dim light. Some say that a familiar aroma will hit your nose and you are to follow it. Others say that you will feel like your being tugged in all directions and you will have to choose the right direction on your own, but the problem with that is that if its the wrong one then there is supposed to be some powerful creature to try and kill you. There are just so many tales that no one believes it.

Then there is the supposed step two that's suppose to be worst than the first. It is said that step two is there worst fear. That is still debatable as it is also said that it's all fears not just there worst. Step two doesn't sound as terrible as the first, but no one knows what it's actually like. All they know is that at some point on this supposed journey that it happens.

Finally you have step three. Its said that a being with the power of the kaioshin and makaioshin resides near the tree. He is supposedly cursed to protect the tree with all his might. If he ever leaves from near the tree and abandon his post then he is supposed to die on the spot. That is why he never leaves, but he can also never be defeated. If he is ever defeated, he has to go through extreme torment until the fruit regrows.

One can only imagine what would become of a person who traveled to the deepest darkest depths of hell in search of some fairy tale. Who knows, one incredible idiot may come along and do just that.
