Technology plus Namekian. Especially older Namekian... usually equals something getting beaten on until it no longer works. Nahlin had taken time off to see his family, leaving Elder Carnel alone in the Gravity Chamber.
It was just a base model, a gift from the Saiyan King. But it had been neglected for some time now. Carnel had telekineticly moved it to the fortress for use, figuring it should serve some purpose. But he couldn't figure it out at first.
He had caved and contacted his adopted son, Blaze on planet Kold for assistance. He explained what the controls did, where the emergency shut off was, covered all the basics before the conversation went off on cookies somehow. But at least Carnel had an idea what he was doing.
Carnel set the computer to 10x Earth's normal gravity. Earth seemed to dominate all units of measurement these days. He hit the "Activate" button... and fell on his face. The gravity felt like he weighed a thousand pounds! More than that really if you calculated it. He lay there for a moment and mustered up the strength to get to a crouching position. Then slowly stood up. He dropped his white cloak, revealing his navy blue training clothes. They were decorated in a fashion fit for the Guru of Namek.
He balled up his fists. With Basna gone, Namek has been weakened. he thought. He did not know if he could count on the aid of the SSE, and his son, Blaze was now part of the WTO. It could cause some issues for him to arrive, even in Namek's defense.
Carnel needed to become stronger himself. Even if he was Guru... even if he was old. He had to gain back the power he had back in his warrior days. And this machine is said to speed that up and make the most out of a session.
He did a few warm up exercises, ignoring the pain in his joints from age as he did so. He had no idea another was planning to join him.

Cargo was inside the elder's fortress inside his own mind being wrapped in his thoughts. Evil was brewing in his heart, but Cargo could not sense this. It was as if the evil had the power to make Cargo unaware of what was going on inside him. It was as if the evil had manifested into another being or spirit within a spirit.
"Darn it! My brother has left to join the SSE. No doubt it is a quest for power. It's what brings us together... power. He aims to be the strongest of us all as do I. I will not be placed on the back burner. I will be helpless if namek ever comes under threat. I will be among the warrior to defend our great planet from any and all invaders. In order to do that I need... power.
Why in the hell does everything revolves around power? The only time power may be inadequate is if someone has more combat knowledge or speed. I don't want that to be my only strengths though. I want to be able to have the power to back up my skill. I want my speed to co exist with my power. Power... if I didn't know any better I'd say this hunt for power will come back to bite me."
Cargo snaps out of his thoughts and searches for the elder. It took no time at all as Nahlin informed him of the elders whereabouts. He walked towards the room where the elder was to find a strain take hold of his body. It causes Cargo to drop to one knee. It felt like a sizable amount of pressure was being pushed down upon his body.
"Elder, what is happening? Why is this room so different? It's so strange."

Carnel looked himself over. In his age, he had little muscle mass now. Just wrinkled skin over a thin body. He was not frail, just suffered from the regular fatigue and joint pain that came with age. But with time and training, he could better himself and possibly his health.
At his full power, he could still be defeated by many lower level warriors on the planet. He needed to be in shape if he was going to be a leader. His eyes closed, he thought back to what Bazantar, the demon Namekian elder had said to him years ago.
"Survive or Perish, you're going to need to shape up boy if you ever hope to succeed in life. You don't need to be a warrior to be strong, you need only the will."
How dare he refer to him as a boy. Carnel had been around for many years himself, he was no child. Shape up? Will? Fine then. Thats what he had done all the years since then, but now he was going to kick his training into overdrive.
"Elder, what is happening? Why is this room so different? It's so strange." Cargo's voice chimed in, pulling Carnel from his thoughts. He looked at the young Namek and Explained.
"This is what the Saiyan's call a Gravity Chamber, Cargo. For a long time many of our people just seen it as a piece of junk, but I believe it may hold the key to greater levels of training beyond what we are traditionally used to."
Carnel could handle standing in the 10x gravity now, but moving even a little threw him off and made him want to crumple. Witch, of coarse he did when he tried to turn towards Cargo. He fell to one knee, stopping himself from falling over.
"Call it insanity or blasphemy if you wish, but considering the power the Saiyans have, It's foolish to think their ways are crazy." Carnel also knew his son had trained in these machines as well, and reported better gains himself. But Blaze wasn't a topic he discussed often. Few had interacted with him on Namek, fewer knew he was an Icarian. Cargo should be left in the dark on that one, just as Basna was.

"Elder, I think this will prove to be an interesting situation. This... Gravity Chamber as you call is truly something. With my brother Basna gone this will prove a great means to becoming better prepared for anything. This is something the warriors of namek could really use. With the demon clan, infected namekians, and powerful beings such as the saiyans... I'm just glad we have a means to defend ourselves."
Cargo struggles to stand up in the room and a bit of sweat appears on his brow. He snatches of his cape and the top part of his gi showing his bare chest. He was ready to train his body under this new strain and there was no doubt that this would take him to a new level of power. Now to actually attempt to move in this chamber of pure gravity. Cargo assumes his fighting stance and takes a deep breath.
He had never fought the elder, but he was hoping the elder would bestow some battle wisdom upon him. Besides, it was about time someone else gets time with the elder besides Nahlin. That is when Cargo feels a bit strange. He can't explain it, but it has this overwhelming urge to leave. As if someone else was forcing him.
Elder forgive me, but I feel strange. I think I need to meditate. Again my apologies, maybe Nahlin will be able to help you.
