Bukujutsu: The ability to fly with one's ki.

Self-preservation: Eva-01 was made in the image of her creator’s daughter, and due to the fact she was murdered the android has been programmed to protect herself from perceivable threats. This is your basic X3 transformation.

Ki Edged Blades: Each of Eva’s forearms can produce a one foot blade that protrudes from the base of her palm. These weapons are made of the same durable metal that was used in her skeletal structure making them stronger than most common blades. To enhance their edge concentrated Ki is channeled along the blade, allowing it to slice through Ki based barriers. Against those that she is within 80% of, or that are within 80% of her it only takes two solid strikes to penetrate a barrier. For an individual that is below 80% of her power level the blades can cut clean through a barrier. Once someone exceeds 125% of her power level the blades become ineffective, simply not able to pierce their barrier should they have one. Although they give her increased range with her melee attacks Eva is unable to use her hands for much due to how the weapons are deployed.

:History:

Dr. Jordan Welch spent the better part of his life working for BioCo, a corporation that specialized in the advancement of cybernetics. Beyond that he enjoyed a happy life at home with his wife, a woman he loved with all of his heart. Sadly his wife would be taken from him only a year after the birth of their daughter. Now a single parent Jordan knew he could no longer spend ten hours a day in the lab, needing to be home to take care of his child, Eva. Having been with the company for over a decade and now the director of their entire Cybernetics division they allowed him to have a lab built attached to his home, only requiring him to come in when his daughter was at a school.

For years this worked perfectly for the small family, he was home when she left for school, and their when she returned. Up through High School they would enjoy a peaceful life together, his daughter soon taking an interest in his work, and even joining him in the lab when his work was not too sensitive. This loved for science only brought them closer, Eva having hopes of following the same path as her father and in time earn a place to work alongside him.

The younger Welch earned her way into college and her intelligence would soon be rewarded with a staff position in the schools bimolecular division. It seemed as if everything was going the way her father and her had hoped, and after several more years of schooling she would have a legitimate chance of getting a position in BioCo, her father’s pull no doubt able to aide in such an endeavor. This dream they shared was destined not to come true though, his daughter being taken from him just as his wife had. A careless and unfortunate mistake at the college lab resulted in an explosion, several lives being lost, including Eva’s.

In the past the death of his beloved wife had nearly broken the man, but he had the responsibility of taking care of his daughter to fall back on. The death of his daughter was more then he could handle. Even after the time given to him by his company, months of paid leave for him to mourn, his absences at BioCo would continue. Little did the corporation know that he had not been sitting home, wallowing in his sorrows. With a lab at his disposal and plenty of on hand supplies he had been busy.

Jordan had lost his wife and knew he would never see her again, but that would not be the case with his daughter. Using all his knowledge and the databases at his disposal he would begin the creation of an android, one built in the image of his daughter. His daughter had died in an accident, something that could not have been prevented, but his mind could not completely grasp that. Even as he built her the doctor would begin to add in what he considered enhancements, weapons and abilities so that she could protect herself if she was ever threatened. He would be damned if he brought his daughter back only to lose her again.

In time he would start to return to work, negotiating with BioCo to excuse his extended absence. Considering the situation they would agree, allowing him to return to the company. For over a year the Doctor’s attendance and work ethic was at it had been in the past, but the company was unaware of the side project he had created at home with their technology and equipment. They were also unaware that the android was a witness to sensitive projects, some even contracted by the military. Jordan kept the android in his lab, spending most of his time at him in his workspace. The android was not the light hearted and cheery girl he had once called his daughter, but she did interact with him and even assist in his work. Eva herself enjoyed this relationship with her creator, not having ever left the lab she figured it to be the purpose she had been designed for. Even with the ability to think on her own she did not mind following orders, although days he was gone she would utilize her free will to learn more and improve herself.

One day would be different, one day he did not return as he had said he would. Ever patient, at least in terms of her creator, she would await his return…but what if he was not to come back?
