John Stewart is a special man indeed. Everyone around him knew that well. Out of all the people surrounding him, he was the best in nearly everything. He was stronger, faster, smarter and even more attractive than the rest. At a very young age, he himself realized that he was special, that his qualities were something that nobody else had. He was a blur when running, a bulldozer when fighting, a genius when studying, all at the age of 9. Only a year had passed, and John could literally fly. As a child, he used his powers for fun and games, but his parents forbade him from ever showing them to anyone. They were afraid that their son would be taken away from them and experimented on, or perhaps something worse. That didn`t stop the young boy from using his abilities in secret, like an amazing, one of a kind toy.
At the age of 14, the boy was already learning advanced Ki control, and could conjure destructive blasts of energy. It was far too early for him, and his overconfident, cocky character did not help at all - after a mishap, the 9 story house in which he and his family lived collapsed due to an explosion. Everyone who`s been there at that moment died. Patrick and Alexandra, his parents, had also perished. The official explanation for this was a terrorist attack. Only John knew what really happened.
He could only feel hatred and sadness. It was because of him the people he had loved the most died. He killed them, there was no more to it. He tried suicide, but no weapon could harm him. John was completely desperate. There was no escape from this, all because of his strength. Over his parents’ grave, he swore an oath - Nobody else will ever die because of him. He had forever left his hometown to travel the world, looking for teachers to learn how to control his constantly growing power. For 10 years he had done exactly that, occasionally using his powers to help people in need. His character changed to that of a kind and understanding person. The John Stewart that once existed was forever gone, only the name remaining.
But his power continued growing over the years, very quickly going beyond the borders of what a normal human can even dream about. Because of this, John had to constantly change his masters, absorbing everything they could teach him in mere months. But even after 10 years he still does not feel confident in his control. The quest to master his abilities continues even today.
