Kenta was born to Daichi and Hinata Kurosaki in Penguin Village. Kenta's father, Daichi was a martial artist who fought in martial arts tournaments to make money and was a protector of Penguin Village while Hinata owned a flower shop to provide a steady stream of income. As for which parent Kenta got his saiyan blood from, he ironically got it from his mother, who had never fought or trained in her entire life.
Unlike Hinata, who had a tail, Kenta wasn't born with a tail which allowed him to fit in with other humans. This wasn't something Hinata needed to worry about though since Penguin Village due to it's large extraterrestrial population and the fact that it was located on Wonder Island. Shortly after Kenta turned six, Daichi started to teach Kenta martial arts in order to bond with his son. One of the very first things Daichi taught Kenta was that martial arts is only to be used for self defense and to better yourself as a person. Kenta grew to love martial arts and once in a while, he competed with children his own age in local tournaments where he won 60% of the time.
The young hybrid learned through these competitions that he enjoyed fighting for sport, but as for his love for fighting as a whole, it was within normal human range and never that of a saiyan. Life seemed to be going good for Kenta and his family, but that all changed when Central City was destroyed and Geurin announced to the world that he was now Prime Minister and claimed that the saiyans were responsible for all the unexplained atrocities that had taken place on Earth.
Even though Geurin also declared war the other aliens on Earth, the people of Penguin Village began turn on those who were known to be of saiyan descent and burned down Hinata's flower shop. With the whole village against them, Kenta and his family fled the village and stayed with the Central City refugees in Satan City. Hinata of course had her tail cut off to hide the fact that she was half saiyan.
The family blended in with the refugees with Kenta continuing his schooling with the various teachers who volunteered to teach the kids. To make money, Daichi got a job as a construction worker for the rebuilding of Central City while Hinata babysat the children of single parent refugees who left the camps for their jobs. Daichi was usually exhausted when he got home and could train Kenta. As the years passed, refugee life seemed normal for the family, but that all changed when Central City was rebuilt and Kenta's parents were able to buy a large apartment. Now Kenta is living a normal life in Central City with everybody thinking that he and his mother are 100% human. His father now runs a small dojo that teaches students the basics of fighting and ki while his mother opened up a new flower shop.
