He usually wears a red leather jacket to cover his abdomen, though rarely a shirt of any description. He also wears his tail around his waist, arguing that it is a fashionable belt.

:Techniques:

• Astro-Crash 小惑星の衝突: Gray unconsciously summons his latent chi and uses it to 'charge' his fists before entering into a combination attack, initially using his hands in a jack-hammer formation to stun his opponent before following up with a quick, devastating flurry.
  
• Zanzoken 残像拳: Gray can move so fast that it appears he leaves an after-image, moving faster than the eye can see to catch an opponent off-guard.
  
• Paralysing Point ポイントを麻痺: Gray has learnt this technique from direct-to-video martial artist's lessons. He knows many points on a human(oids) body that can inhibit movement if correctly attacked.
  

:Starting Planet: Earth

:History: Gray is a descendant of the Vegeta-Briefs line. His saiyan origins are so diluted that he believes he is completely human... despite having to remove his tail every couple of months (and, in the end, giving up on that endeavour and simply disguising it as a fashionable belt). His saiyan genes are stronger than most hybrids of his generation, putting his potential on-par with half-breeds such as Son Gohan or Trunks Briefs. However, he has much to learn, not yet consciously capable of manipulating ki, or sensing it.

He never had very much to do with his parents, as they sent him to boarding school on a Capsule Corp. salary. And, despite the benefits of private education, Gray was always bored, from the age of five through to sixteen. True, he was the top in sports, naturally athletic and was pretty good at the MMA tournaments the school held. But... he never really got into studying, that was the issue. From around the age of twelve, girls caught his eye... and thanks to his physique, bar the tail, he caught theirs. He had the added advantage of actually looking his age the way humans do, unlike saiyans such as Son Goku who remain pre-pubescent until their late teens.

Still, he remained in education, just scraping by in his tests... until one night, when he was sneaking out to see a girl, he caught sight of the moon.

He woke up naked the next morning. Initially pleased with himself, his emotions quickly turned to horror as he realized he was laying in the rubble of his school. News choppers were circling overhead. Confused, he scrambles up and, keeping to the shadows, hides. He manages to find his bedroom, one of the only rooms not completely vaporised, and pulls on just a set of jeans, using his tail as a belt. He grabs his wallet, a few hundred zenni within, and leaves.

It turns out a giant monkey had raged through the school's grounds, and as far as anyone was aware there were only a few survivors. Reporters had used historical footage over one thousand years prior, when a similar monster had wreaked havoc at a martial art's tournament... the same tournament that a boy with a monkey tail had fought at.

Gray was capable of putting two-and-two together. He had the same genetic anomaly present in that kid, and it had destroyed his friends... his family.

Venomous at himself, horrified at his potential, he fled the city and cut all ties with his family. They thought him dead.

At the age of nineteen, he returned to the city. He had honed himself, become a warrior. He was stronger, faster than before. He was also no longer a follower of the world's morals, instead following his own creed. He had no problem with stealing to survive, and it had been necessary to do so in the wild. He would kill if it prevented himself from being killed. Nonetheless, he still held a vague notion of good and evil, and would do his utmost to protect the innocent.

He didn't know what his path was, nor did he know if destiny had anything in mind. But, as an explosion rings out across the city, he knew where he wanted to be.
