:Name: Zhaiyu
:Race: Makaioshin
:Gender: Male
:Age: Appears around his late twenties. Actual age is is slightly over two hundred years.
:Aura color: Zhaiyu's aura takes shape as a red color with a black outline which grows considerably darker the more of his power he releases; this includes his transformations. As his power is released, wispy black almost ribbon-like energy constructs will whip about inside of the aura, much like a Super Saiyan can cause small arks of lightning. These too will grow thicker and eventually red lightning will spark around these constructs.
:Appearance:
(FC: Chikage Kazama, Hakuouki Shinsengumi Kitan)
:Techniques:
He of course also has access to basic techniques concerning basic control like weak blasts and energy sensing and disguising his power level.
:Starting Planet: Earth. It holds the gate to the Demon Realm, and he looks enough like a human in his base form to blend in.
:History: Every so often, a being from planet Kaishin isn't born with the typical pure heart and good intentions of the rest of their kind. Zhaiyu was one such being. He grew up knowing he was different than everyone else he knew, and the look of worry on the faces of his elders told him that much ever since he was what could be deemed a child. He never trusted anyone around him due to their judging gazes and their knack for completely avoiding contact with him. He always wondered exactly what they were up to behind his back, and it would take fifty years for him to find out. He had effectively cut himself off from the community, making his own way out in the wilderness where he lived off the land and left his ''people'' alone. However, that wasn't good enough. After a few more short years, a group visited his small cave he called home and declared he had no right to be anywhere on the entire planet. His heart held evil, and he was to be banished to the Demon Realm at their earliest convenience.
Not one to let others toy with his fate, Zhaiyu attacked in a fit of rage and killed each weak messenger before storming out of the cave and back toward civilization, blasting off in flight to give them the surprise of their lives. He landed just on the outskirts of the village, confronted by warriors and militia alike, and he showed no mercy or hesitation in slapping each one of them out of his way to get to the Elder. What he didn't know, however, was that they were ready for him. Upon entering the chamber the elder's personal guards were already in formation and ready to fire. He was blasted out of the building and lay wounded in the street, where the elder and his guards marched out to meet him. With the Elder offering his apologies and that he'd always known this day would come ever since Zhaiyu's birth, they decided to execute him instead of banish him.
The world went black for what seemed like mere moments and he now found himself standing at a desk with a large ogre behind it. Puzzled, he folded his arms and arrogantly waited as the being rambled on about his list of offenses. What he didn't expect next, though, is for the floor to fall out from under him and his ability to fly suddenly not responding. He fell into Hell with a crash landing and awoke several hours later, taking a good look around at his surroundings. The area was under constant watch by many ogres, and not to mention the ''inmates'' themselves were trouble enough. It was at this point where Zhaiyu began to form a plan to escape. He began training to make good use of his time and speed things along; whenever a situation came up with a rebellious being in this place, he would be there in a flash to take care of it with extreme prejudice. It offered him a chance to keep his fighting skills fresh while he trained, and also served the purpose of possibly getting out sooner on ''good behavior''.
Years passed and time went by and his power steadily grew until he had become tired of waiting and scavenging off of small conflicts. He staged a riot in Hell over the course of a little over a week, then made himself scarce until things had really gotten bad. With ogres and residents fighting all over the place, he finally made himself known and fought alongside the ogres, betraying every soul he'd promised to lead to freedom. The fighting lasted an entire day and at the end, though scarred and bruised, Zhaiyu carried the day. A few days following this event, he was called in for review and put on his best act he could, saying he'd never gotten the chance to be treated like anything other than scum. A few weeks after this review, he was granted his second chance and dropped on Earth unceremoniously, but under heavy watch.
He waited a few years as he lived peacefully in the wilderness once again for the attention of the afterlife's judge to become lax, then made the move he'd wanted to all along. He wandered for several years picking up rumors and even taking mercenary work in exchange for information, and finally found the gate to the Demon Realm. Having no way to open the door, however, he was ready to give in; that is, until one of the old beings from the place of his birth showed up at the entrance of the cave. He stated that even Zhaiyu knew where he belonged, and without asking any questions banished him through the gate into the Realm, playing exactly into the Makaioshin's hands. From this point on, a bloody conflict of supremacy would erupt mainly from Zhaiyu's end.
He trained more rigorously than ever before inside a deep chasm away from prying eyes, even going so far with luck as to find a blade he now calls the Wailing Dark. He trained with this sword as well as with ki and his own body, preparing for the final step in his plan. It was a reckless one, but it was also the only way. He exited this chasm after fifty more long years of building his strength and made his way to the throne of the Demon Realm, challenging the current and recent King to one-on-one combat. The King had grown lax and lazy after acquiring his throne and was simply outclassed by the Makaioshin. Though the battle lasted a while, Zhaiyu came out on top and seized the throne as his own.
Never stopping his training to keep hold of his title Zhaiyu has ruled over the Demon Realm for years having escaped the watchful eye of his old home and the afterlife. With control of the gate to the Realm in his hands, he is free to come and go from Earth as he pleases. Lately, however, he's been looking for the excuse to stir up trouble and assert his power...

Wailing Dark: The sword wielded by the Demon King. Wailing Dark is a sleek and very sharp katana Zhaiyu personally excavated from a deep chasm in the Demon Realm, and took an exceptional liking to it for its cutting power and ease of use. He can whirl this blade around like a toy, and the sword reacts to the ki of its owner. It can take on the properties of Zhaiyu when he transforms, and has grown especially attuned to his ki to the point where he can channel it through the entire weapon to make it even deadlier in numerous kinds of attacks (when appropriate techniques are learned).

- Bukujutsu: Having clawed his way through Hell to sit on his throne in the Demon Realm required certain tools to dominate the battlefield and assert his authority. Flight was a necessary tool for such a cause, and is one of the first things he learned how to perform.
- Magic Materialization: Carrying around his sword, the Wailing Dark, gave his enemies the opportunity to expect what would come from his expertise in its use. He has since taught himself this ability, allowing him to walk around unarmed but produce the blade when the need calls for it. He makes creative use of this ability, sometimes going as far as to quickly summon the sword for a fast chain of attacks out of the blue and then banish it at the end of the series.
- Afterimage Technique: An ability where the user relocates to another nearby position, moving quickly enough to leave an illusion of themselves in their wake.
- (Extra attack from Racial Ability) Wrath Cannon: A personal favorite developed by the Demon King himself, Zhaiyu will extend one arm outward as a small orb of red ki forms on the pad of each finger. A sudden arc of red lightning will connect all five before they fan out into a large disk, firing a powerful red beam of ki at an opponent. One of his favorite tactics is to charge the technique and perform an Afterimage, attempting to blow his enemy away at close range.
- (Demon King) Stone Spit: After becoming the Demon King, he trained this ability mainly to instill a sense of fear in his subjects but has used it in combat before. His saliva, when mixed with his ki, will activate an agent that turns any surface or living tissue to stone. Sufficiently powerful beings can break through this, though at its worst, it does immobilize them for a time.
He of course also has access to basic techniques concerning basic control like weak blasts and energy sensing and disguising his power level.
