:History:
At one point, the soldier Requies was nothing more than an average kid in the streets of North City. Compared the other metropolis cities of North, South, and Satan City, North City has been viewed as the one that's more in the past, due to the mountains surrounding the city. A cold environment that consistently brought rain and snow, it was one that developed warriors, soldiers, villains, and heroes. Requies's story is one starting of the soldier rising to stardom from the bottom. We first begin with his life in North City...
North City: Birth home and living hell to some, while a winter paradise to others. Requies Artog was the product of Keira Artog and a man that Keira refers to as, "Demon King." The man had once gone by another name, but his lifestyle was full of blood and hate, a life that he would not his son to have, so he left his son and love behind. Keira was given plenty of money from him, to help raise the boy before leaving her heart broken. She worked at a mid-low paying job that was just enough to support herself and Requies, and maybe, every now and again, get a treat for the young boy. Every time they went to get him a treat at the market, he always wanted one thing: Sugar and cinnamon coated pretzel bites. Sometimes, they'd have them, but not always.
When he was old enough, he was sent to a school district that, if not for his father's money, would not have been affordable for a month. However, Demon King had left behind a sizable fortune that was nothing compared to what he had coming in each month. The schools he attended were for the middle class people in the city, compared to middle class citizens in West City, were more suited for low class citizens. He made due with what he had, trying to attend classes when he could without trying to get into fights with other people.
Requies, though, is someone that would not back down if someone insulted him or his family. The son of Demon King would engage in fights that others started. He'd be mocked for looking like a girl, having some of his mother's facial characteristics at a young age and for being the son of a metaphorical demon and a woman that was too broke to afford a better job. Other insults would be flung his way, but the two insults mentioned really ticked him off. The boy would engage in fights with some of the other kids, aiming to break their bones and force them to submit... An aspect that his mother told him about his father, when dangerous adults came around.
His mother would punish him for fighting the other kids, but would afterwards try to make him feel better by telling him a very old story. It involved the hero wanting to just find a home to settle down at, but he would go through many ordeals and overcome them with his strength and will. He would eventually reach his home, with a family he had long forgotten of, waiting for him at the gates. The story would always put his mind at ease and help him sleep at night, as he dreamed of himself as the hero, dashing through the land and forcing evil men to submit to justice. What Requies didn't know, though, was that the stories were actually tales of his father, the dreaded "Demon King".
When he reached middle school, Requies had developed a habit of being the tough punk on the block. He also developed a habit of learning through his mother helping and supporting him. It was actually through his mother's support reflecting in his grades that helped him become a high grading student. The faculty, while it was against school laws, didn't want the boy being expelled. Instead, they would put him into suspension for weeks, having the school gym teacher put him through boot camp on occasion. He would be worked to the bone, but it helped him become stronger. Frankly, the gym teacher wasn't really trying to punish him. Rather, he wanted Requies to become tougher so he wouldn't get into these situations.
The boot camp did work during his time in middle school, helping produce less fights. Due to it, he actually developed strong muscles and an intimidating exterior, which helped tone down the fights. However, Requies kinda missed the fights. Sure, he wasn't getting in trouble and was able to be more social without an insult being thrown his way, but he wanted to give someone a piece of his mind in the shape of a fist. He almost started a fight once, near the end of his final year in middle school because he missed it so much. His mother stopped him, though, telling him a surprise was waiting back at home.
The two returned to their home in the south side of North City. A military car was waiting outside their apartment building. Requies was stricken with fear, thinking his mother was going to give him to the military. However, it seemed that it wasn't that wasn't the case... At least, not her mother. When he got outside his car, a tall man, dressed in green camouflage walked up to him. He wore a green hat on his head and looked to be in his early forties. He took off his hat, revealing the rest of his face.
He had the same facial structure as Requies did, but he had burning red eyes. His hair was buzz cut, but the graying hairs were still noticeable. He was a strongly built man that stood about a foot over the five foot kid. A smile had been on his face, as he uttered one thing.
"Hello, son."
Requies hands began to twitch. This man, standing in front of him, was his father? This man?! His mother shifted over, clinging to his side, as she told Requies that this man was his father and that he wanted to take him to the base he was currently stationed at for his high school years. His hands balled into fists, as anger enveloped his being. He hurled a punch at his father's face, as he cursed off at him. Requies berated him, telling him how his mother and him had struggled to get through each month.
His father got up, rubbing his chin. His mother tried to calm the situation, but Requies told her to shut up, telling her that he needs to speak his mind. The man arrives out of the blue after 14 years, wanting to take him to the military?! Requies's father nodded, saying he did deserve the hit. Requies growled, telling him that there was a lot more of it to come.
The Demon King nodded again, gesturing him to come at him. Requies willingly obliged, aiming to smack him in the face again. However, Requies found himself flipping in the air after being back armed, then slammed into the concrete by a strong punch. His father picked him up by his shirt and shoved him onto the military car. He let go and walked backwards, telling him that he made sure that he got into school and helped with the payments for their home. Despite being far away, he made sure that he and his mother were supported, as well as telling his mother stories to pass on to him.
It took a bit for Requies to realize what he was talking about, what with him trying recover his breath after having been smacked around in a matter of seven seconds and the difficulty to think. The young man looked at Keira, asking her about what he meant. Keira explained that the stories that Requies was so fond of were stories about his father's exploits. They had his father moved to various locations, to take down dangerous targets that they deemed too strong for ordinary soldiers. The Demon King, after finally introducing himself as Galvin, explained that the nickname came from the unit that he led in the covert ops called Hell Unit.
They went inside and had a long, heart wrenching moment before Galvin walked out of the apartment. Requies stood in the doorway, as his father told him that he'd give him a week to think about it. The teen would think, indeed, for the next several days before Galvin came around again. The decision Requies made couldn't have made his father happier. Requies would go to the military installation for his high school years and, if interested enough, he may join the army for a while.
His family reunited after so long. They moved to the mountain station west of North City. Requies found a very large assortment of gadgets, weapons, people, and animals, but not a large assortment of outfits that people seemed to wear. Camo to the left, camo to the right. Were they preparing for an all out war was an occasional thought in Requies's mind. However, it turned out this was just the necessary supplies needed for the covert ops unit.
Requies would spend the next few years, learning about various sorts of subjects. Anatomy, technology, high levels of math, chemistry, biology, and many other subjects, all the while of being put through training that would make his middle school teacher cry in agony. He became stronger and he learned a lot about Galvin, personally. He actually grew an attachment to him and, one lucky time, he got on a mission with him.
They were ordered to find and take down a very dangerous individual capable of developing explosions with just his hands. Despite it being a well known thing, Requies grew up without learning or even hearing about ki energy. The target's name was unknown, but was given the code name, "Red Wolf." Requies would learn about ki energy use and develop interest in it... He would also learn the reason Galvin earned the nick name Demon King.
Red Wolf was reported to be located the ancient building called Muscle Tower, causing havoc to the village near the area. The Hell Unit would take, with Requies and Galvin counted in the mix, take fifteen highly trained soldiers armed with high impact guns and explosives. The reason they would be taking in such high profile weapons was because it was reported that normal gun bullets would not leave a scratch on the target, as the bullets would either be dodged or deflected. Even automatic fire would prove to be ineffective on the target.
The majority of the soldiers would be wielding high caliber rounds and guns in the forest surrounding Muscle Tower, while Galvin would take in three people with him to engage in close combat with the target. Requies was among them, to show him what Galvin and the force were capable of doing in person. It took the force six hours to get their necessary equipment and get to the drop off location.
When they arrived, the forces had immediately moved to take position in the snow covered trees while Galvin, Requies, and a man named Relic moved in on the location. Requies was trying to figure out why only the three of them were going in while Galvin's gunners hung back. Relic told him that it was to secure the target alive, so they could take it back to base and interrogate him. The Red Wolf seemed to be out of sight, making Requies think that he was inside the ancient base.
The young man, though, did not expect the Red Wolf to come crashing down from above, kicking up a large wave of snow and obstructing their sight. Three red flashes cut through the curtain, Requies rolling out of the way of one while the others were sent at the other two. Relic was pelted with one, the ball exploding and sending back into the forest while the third one was deflected by Galvin.
Requies hid in the snow, as he tried to get a good look at what the Red Wolf looked like, exactly. He was dressed in all red, a scarf torn from battles and the weather beating in the wind. A long sleeve, jacket, and gloves covered his entire arm. Thick pants covered his lower half, while tucked into the boots. A brown batch of hair hung down from his head, partially covering his forehead, while the rest of it was covered by the scarf and a hood on his jacket. His eyes bore down on Galvin, as steam seemed to excrete off his body.
Galvin had been dressed in nothing but a white camouflage tee shirt and pants, to help him blend in with environment. He had a smile on his face, as if he was enjoying this harsh weather. Steam seemed to excrete off of Galvin in the same manner as the Red Wolf. The two seemed to not move for about ten seconds, before they disappeared in a flash. Gusts of wind seemed to appear around the tower, as the snow kicked up in hundreds of locations. Requies tried to dodge the waves, but he was then greeted by others that seemed to jostle him around like a rag doll.
Eventually, Requies was shoved back into the forest, where he was caught by Relic. Requies didn't understand what was going on at all. Relic told him to focus his eyes a little more, to get him to figure out what was going on in front of him. The teen did, and by the time he saw the blurs, he found the Red Wolf sliding towards them, with Galvin walking forward. He rubbed his arms, as he ordered the Red Wolf into binds.
Requies tried to figure out what happened, but he was only told that once Requies finished his schooling that he should head to Satan City's . He only had a month left before he could, so he repeatedly tried to get the information out of his father and cohorts. Rather than telling him, they simply told him to go to Satan City. Oddly enough, Relic, who was usually around the base, had been sent elsewhere. Requies finished his education and, with the funds Galvin provided, made his way to Satan City.
He finished his schooling and received a very large stipend of money from his father, who told him that he'd be in Satan City for some time. Requies wanted him to tell him what he planned for him. However, Galvin would not tell. He simply gave Requies a piece of paper with an address on it, telling him he'd be staying at this location. Requies took the money and paper, and gave his good byes to his friends and family and took the first plane heading to Satan City. He was not prepared, though, for what was left for him in the city.
He landed after a nineteen hour plane ride, given some delays to make sure take off was alright. The metropolis before him left him stunned, as he saw children playing in large, floating orbs of water that seemed to be perpetually held up by six floating disks. People floated around with shoes that seemed to send waves to the bottom of their feet. They floated along, like they were on roller blades. It was a very interesting sight to behold! North City didn't have such technologies available... At least, not to anyone below the rich class.
Requies finally made his way into to the address, gazing at the building before him with confusion. While many of the buildings looked aesthetically advanced, the building he was at seemed out of place. While the buildings were large, this one was small and looked dull. He entered the building and looked around, to find it to only be a small, cramped space that could barely suit one person. A large man that was very familiar to him was sitting down, meditating. When he got the man's attention, he found it to be Galvin's assistant, Relic.
Relic greeted him with a smile and a bear hug, practically crushing Requies in it. Requies wanted to know what he was doing here, in which Relic replied, "I'm here to train the Demon Prince, that's what!"
He gestured at a slightly block on the ground that looked a bit out of place. Relic told him that he'd be taking him down to the lower levels, in order to train him in privacy, as well as be able to live in a much more comfortable space than where they were. He lifted up the door, revealing a hole and ladder leading down into a bunker-like space. Requies would oblige and go down the hole, to come across a brightly lit up room.
Relic came down soon after, telling him that there were multiple rooms, including a kitchen, a bathroom and bedrooms, not to mention a training facility for the group to use. Requies would find out that he was not the only one being trained. In the training room, there were five others, four of which were sparring each other, while the other did weight lifting. Relic explained that, while he was here, he would learn how to use his energy from a ancient book, as well as develop his senses and own techniques using this. He also explained that his father wanted him to be prepared for things to come and to understand what he would become capable of doing, so that he could make the right judgement calls.
Requies would understand and would, from the Spring of his 18th year in life to the fall of his 26th, engage in full combat training with Relic and the others. He would learn the names of each and develop different types of relationships with each of them. With the ladies, he was known as a bit of a charmer with his looks, but more of a straight forward type of guy. Their names were Cassidy, Yusa, and Lassandra.
Cassidy was a rowdy type of woman, preferring to be more of social type of person, rather than a fighter. However, when got swinging, she would make Requies's day a tough one. Yusa was a serious type, most of the time, taking advantage of what time she could to strengthen herself and spar with one of the other guys named Grell. Finally, there was Lassandra. Lassandra was along the lines Requies's female counterpart. She was straightforward, serious, good looking, but had a social aptitude about her. She and Requies developed a pseudo-relationship that didn't really seem to kick off over the years, even when the two talked about it.
The guys, aside from Relic, were Johan and Grell. Johan was Requies's usual training part and consistent rival, when it came to social activities. He would also become Requies's best friend during his time there. Grell, on the other hand, was Requies's superior, proving to be more skilled and powerful when it came to combat. Grell was more about doing his duties and training when he had free time. His sparring partner would usually be Yusa, who was viewed as his equivalent in Relic's eyes. When Grell fought Yusa, he actually found a kind of enjoyment in it, as she was usually able to fight on equal terms with him.
Their life style usually consisted of training and having 'adventures' in the city when they had some free time. However, in his 26th year, near the present, Requies and the group were actually given a mission that was up to them to do. Their mission was to hunt down an escapee, who turned out to be the Red Wolf that Requies had met long ago at the old Muscle Tower. The thought of hunting this guy down sent a chill down Requies's spine. The others agreed to the mission, but Requies had yet to make his decision. He needed time to think of what his response would be, before he engaged in the endeavor. In the present, on the day they would go out to hunt the Red Wolf, Requies would give his answer: Yes. I will hunt the Wolf.

Just like before...
- Bulwark Destruction: A cone blast that Requies learned and developed from his time in Satan City. It condenses energy to a single point in his hand, whether it's a fist or open palm, and explodes outwards, to deal a massive amount of damage at close range to one target to a small amount to multiple, dependent on how much energy he puts into his attack of course.
- Fire of the Dragon: This technique is something Requies also learned while at Satan City. Requies focuses his energy into both of his hands, breathing as he goes through the stances. He shifts his hands together, forcing the energy out into a ball between his two hands, which keeps the two apart from the sheer force developing in the energy ball. It keeps building up until it reaches a large enough threshold, upon which Requies launches himself up into the air and fires it downward upon his enemy. The energy wave takes the appearance of a ferocious torrent of fire ejecting from a dragon's maw. This technique is costly, as it requires a lot of Requies's energy to use and WILL tire him out.
- Bukujutsu (Flight): Requies's time in Satan City has not only yielded powerful techniques, but the use of energy to fly. Requies can apply enough energy to lift himself up into the air and move at relatively high speeds.
