Heat, a constant flow of warm air, rising always rising above the surface of the world. Much like a fallen fighter, a fallen man, a fallen robot. Darkness, the mysteries of the jungle, all of this had surrounded the simple robot known to himself and all as Souka Kinonai. He was a robot much different than others for he had a name, a purpose, a goal. But he could not remember what all these things were all the time. His hardware was limited, his software trashed and thus he looked like a simple human in a long black coat, pants, and pair of boots as he emerged from the underbrush of the Freej Jungle on Arcose into the outskirts of Bleeza-01.
His height was only five feet six inches and he was only a measly looking one hundred fifty pounds, yet on an alien world world he was clearly the only human looking creature around probably he stood out like a sore thumb. Mainly this was due to his long red hair that draped down the back of his neck and his bright blue eyes. Although, his lovely red short-sleeve shirt gave him away too.
But to who exactly? Well, everyone else around him. Many of the dome headed, reptilian, heavily armored creatures known as Arcosians turned to him as he stepped on their turf. The rich, oxidation-filled red soil settled under his feet as he stood there and looked around. He was definitely not where he was supposed to be because at least three of the Arcosians raised their hands and charged ki into their open palms the moment they saw him.
He smiled and voiced to them in a non-threatening tone, "Nice place you have here. I'm not sure what you all are, but my name is Souka Kinonai. I'm not from around here I think, otherwise I might know what you are, but since I don't I really am not. All I ask is that you not fire on me."
One of the Arcosians who was leaning against a wall with a slouched back answered him, "Why shouldn't we? We haven't ever seen your type before around here, so obviously you're not from around here."
Souka shrugged and raised both his hands, "I don't have a weapon for one thing and I know for certain I'm not staying long."
The second Arcosian who was ready to attack him, one sitting at a fountain, spit on the ground and uttered, "How do you know that and how do we know that?"
Souka thought about this for a moment and answered, "I-I just know. I don't suppose you know a person by the name Yakedo do you?"
The three Arcosians shook their heads and began to wonder why this guy was even asking them this kind of question. In all of their minds they felt it might be fun to blast this Souka Kinonai out of existence, but then they noticed the jungle behind them. This guy had walked out of it, so maybe he was really strong?
They lowered their hands and let their ki dissipate. Souka lowered his hands as well. Clearly they did not know who he was talking about or they would have already answered and they also had no intention to kill him, which was also good. He walked by them carefully and walked down a small alley towards a series of high rises ahead. Luck was clearly on his side in this endeavor, but the honest truth was Souka was a weakling, on a strange world, and had no idea who he was. Ultimately, danger would only lie ahead for him as he thought about the jungle he had just traversed the last three days and the only other name he could remember other than his own. The name Yakedo. What though would this city be like ahead, a city surrounded by vines.
