City Travelers [Miranda]

Miranda flew through the air while carrying Leta high above the landscape of Earth. Thanks to this, Leta got a good view of the world she had landed on. She was a bit disappointed though she had to leave her trashed space ship behind and travel with this girl who called herself a demon. Her brown eyes scanned the landscape below her as her friend's new wings cast a shadow over top of them hiding them from view, if only a bit. Hundreds of below, she could see the metal spires rising up from the ground and many small dots as well. They were clearly flying over some kind of city and Leta thought it best to go ahead and see what was in it.

She pointed down at it and shouted over the whistling winds, "I think there's a city down there can we land there?" Her tattered white dress flapped in the wind and she thought, "I really need to get something more human like for myself. It'll probably help me fit in, but if Miranda's a demon what are humans like on this planet are they strong?"

Miranda had nearly defeated her less than an hour ago. So the fact she could clearly blow her up almost in one shot made her wonder the power humans held. They must certainly be strong, maybe even stronger than Kanassans and demons. It was something though Leta was willing to find out as she waited for her friend to decide whether or not to descend from the sky.

Central city was huge, but it wouldn't take long to find a spot to land unseen near a shop so Leta can quickly get a stable dress. There were a lot of pervs out there, and although leta could defend herself from them, you never know how powerful some humans could be. For all she knew, there was one waiting for them, suppressing their power for a moment to strike. Miranda didn't want that to happen to her newly found friend. It took a moment to look around but they eventually found a spot to land and descended to the ground.

"Here we are!", Miranda declared as if her search was more dramatic than it actually was. They were in an alley way next to a clothing store. It wasn't the best shop in the world, but it wasn't the worst. Miranda with a smile grabbed her friends hand and took off toward the entrance, almost running into a few humans as she did. Miranda opened the shop door and held it open for Leta, then walked in behind her letting the door shut. "Pick any one you want, I'll pay. There seem to be dressing room at the back.. ovvverrr.. there", Miranda said to her, pointing towards the door in the back.

Leta smiled at Miranda as they landed in the big city and the demoness dragged her into a back alley clothing store. She was mainly trying to hide her embarrassment with this smile because although she had managed to put her ripped dress back together it was likely to fall apart again at any moment due to the beating she had taken earlier. Her pain had already subsided and while Miranda directed her around the shop Leta took it upon herself to grab quite a few pieces of clothing.

She took a long black and orange tiger striped dress with her, a pair of blue jeans, some sneakers and a pink tank top. It took her a while, but she managed to undress and put on all these clothes before coming out to present them to Miranda. She had no idea what she was doing since she did not know human fashion at all, but the clothes she had worn earlier did not seem to different from human clothes. The look she had on was bizarre but very simple. She just wore her blue jeans, and put on the dress over top of her body before slipping the tank top over it before putting on her sneakers. The colors were clearly off too, yet they would be able to work on it.

"How do I look?" she asked in a calm demeanor. She did not try to show her embarrassment on her face as her smile disappeared from before.

Miranda waited patiently outside the dressing room, excited to see what Leta could come up with. When she stepped out, she couldn't help but giggle. She was surprised that she had some sense of fashion. She liked the pink tank top, jeans, and the style of the dress. However the color scheme of the dress. She had so many ideas how to fix the problem, but she just grabbed a white dress with a similar style to her tiger striped one she chose and gave that to her.


"Try this on. I think it would match well but even I make fashion mistakes." Miranda said cheerfully. "If we have trouble with this one ill have someone else help out."

Leta handed Miranda the tiger striped dress and answered as she took the white one, "I have no clue what I'm doing here."

She then proceeded to slip this one over top of the tank top and jeans and noticed it fit much better and looked much better than the other dress. The reason was that the tiger dress had utilized bright and dark colors and thick straps. This white dress instead was like the tiger striped dress in terms of pattern, but was more a simple one piece with thin straps so it did not hide the tank top as much. The stripe design was a black and white color scheme. "Do I need to wear only the dress or do I wear both?" she asked Miranda as she looked into her eyes, "Humans have so many clothes. It seems like a waste of materials to me." Leta stated this because on Kanassa both Psyrans and Kanassans wore only one set of clothes due to the resources they squandered. Other aliens on the planet did not have that problem since they obviously did not fight one another and had more ideas on choice than the more conservative like Psyrans and Kanassans that Leta knew of.

She found she liked the black and white striped pattern with her pink tank top and blue jeans so she went to the nearest cash register and bought all the items she had. She was glad when she was up there that Zeni seemed like a universal currency on Earth because she knew she used it as well on Kanassa. Once she was done paying she grabbed the bag the clerk had put her stuff in and walked out of the store. She was sure Miranda, the demon do fine on her own and had other things she needed to see about this planet.
