After leaving the cave where he was trapped, Ethar took flight with as much speed as he could muster in the direction he thought he could find the Elders Fortress. Although, He found he couldnt sense Carnel anywhere in the area, or even in the range he could sense in. He remembered that he was in flying distance of his home that he had on Namek for several years before he was sealed away in the cave for who knows how long.
It took some time flying at top speed, but he made his way to the plains that he had called home. He gasped, as he stopped in mid air to see a pile of rubble that had once been his home. It was covered in grass and dirt, almost to the point where he could of easily missed it. "W-What the fuck?!" He said, as he flew down to the rubble, and landed on his feet. "What happened here?!" He asked himself, as he started to dig into the rubble, throwing away grass, dirt and rocks. HE found some remains of his belongings that had decayed, and hardly anything was usable anymore.
His Noran clothing, his food, everything he owned, gone. But not all was lost, for when he uncovered the dirt, he found a familiar chest that he sealed up before his departure from his home to find the magical orbs. "Its still here... I hope nothings broken." He said, as he slowly pried it open. Relief washed over, as he saw his most precious possessions were still intact... A Picture of Himself with his Mother and Father when he was just a mere child, a emergency supply of 200 Zenie, and the key to his Noran Pod. "Finally, some good news."
He packed up his family picture, the key and the Zenie into his pockets, as he continued to dig around in the rubble, until he found a trapdoor. It was completely rotten, but was intact... until he touched it, and it disintegrated to reveal something large and shiny underneath. "Ah, Its still here... Hope it still works." He said, as he climbed down into the ancient basement, as Ethar saw that his Noran Space pod was still intact.
He took his pod key out, and used it to unlock the pod, however since it had no power, he had to use the manual latch to get the door open. Once open, a cloud of dust greeted him. Coughing, He waved the dust away, and saw that the entire shit had an inch of dust on everything. "Damn, gotta clean this out before I can use it." He said, coughing a bit still, as he started to pull and brush the dust off of his old spacepod. His lungs didnt like the dust at all, but it was something that had to be done in order to figure out where everyone was, and what happened while he was out.
Once all the dust was removed, he climbed into the pod, and checked the reserve power, and saw that like everything he owned, it was dead. "Shit, the hell happened here? The power cell was good for another 250 years!"He said with a growl, as he opened up a panel to his right, and saw alot of the wires had decayed, but the metal in them was intact. "This is bad...Very bad..."He groaned, as he grabbed onto the wires, and prayed that his idea would work.
He focused his energy, and tried to feed some of it into the ships systems, trying to give it a jump start. At first, it didnt seem to work and Ethar was about to give up, but it was then Ethar heard a blip from his console that the cell had been slightly recharged but it wasnt enough to restart the pod. "Ah, so the converter still works...Good." He thought as he focused more of his energy into the system as the console came to life as Ethar felt an Electrical current Zap him. "Ow!"
He shook his fingers, as the pod came to life, and the door shut. The Life support system came back to life, as the stale air was slowly replaced with good fresh air, and the pod lit up as the remaining systems came back online. "Im Back baby... Now, Lets see how long I have been away for." He said, as he flickered on the onboard computer, and it slowly updated itself to compensate for the many years of lack of power. Unfortunatly, Ethar did nto like what he saw, as the screen displayed that since he left Nor, It had been 507 years! "F-Five Hundred and seven years?! Thats not right at all!" He gasped in a bit of a panic, as he remembered the condition his stuff was in, and realized that his computer wasnt lying. Had he been trapped for 500 years in that dinky little cave? It appeared to be so.
He started to run a scan for any of the people he had met 500 years ago, but the computer scanned the planet after half an hour, and no one he knew survived. "Damn it....What about that Blaze fellow?" He asked himself, as he ran a search for him. He made his computer download information from a vast communications network that was throughout the galaxy, and luckily, the search came up with an answer.
After seeing an approximate set of coordinates of the last known location where in a system with a planet named Earth, He inputed the coordinates into his navigational computer. "Theres a Shitton of Activity on the planet ....Eee arrth? Who comes up with these names?" He said as he shook his head, and engaged the engines. The pod roared to life as the hull creaked with age, but it held together, as it pushed up through the rubble and up into the air. "To Eeaarth we go!" He said, as his pod sped off into the Atmosphere, still creaking but holding together. Ethar knew, that this would be the last trip for his Noran Space pod, and he had to make sure it would be worth it.
