Techniques
- True Kaioken: A x6-x8 transformation multiplier technique. The original form, kept secret by the Kais and, thus, only taught by the Grand Kai. The truest form yields even greater power than the basic Kaioken and yet, it does not wear the user out as much. True Kaioken operates in the same manner of Kaioken, but has a lower downside to its power. At x6, the user will feel only the power surge through them and leave them in the same state as they were before. At x7, the familiar little fatigue returns, but the user is still healthy and able to fight. At x8, the True Kaioken begins to wear down the user rapidly, but not greatly. Like Basic Kaioken, True Kaioken is brief, lasting 1 to 3 turns. When this is achieved, it replaced Basic Kaioken.
- Thunder Flash Attack: Tradition from one West Kai to the next was to teach students the ability to overpower your foes with the most powerful fire able to be generated from your energy, but only if it is needed.
- Magic Materialization: The user is able to create simple or complex items from thin air as needed.
- Kaio Slash: A ki powered sword slash that strikes from the front and back through super fast movements.
- Ki No Tsurugi: A Ki beam that shoots out somewhat as an extension of the hand and can be swung and stabbed to cut or pierce enemies.
- Daichiretsuzan:With a swipe of the hand with two fingers extended, it creates an invisible cutting beam that goes a long way. Depending on your power, this can be a very powerful move that can slice through great amounts of land, even islands.

History
One hundred thousand years ago, the fruit tree that would bear Shigo Akai sprouted. It grew through the collective effort of all eighty hard working Kaioshin during their lifetimes and the lifetimes of the former Supreme Kais. They hoped after the deaths or disappearances of the Kais from Goku's age that the fruit of this new tree Shigo hung from would bear a good number of golden fruits. These fruits were necessary to make sure there was a good roster for the next election of Kais in the universe. The problem was that during one particularly bad year, a snowstorm came through and destroyed most of the fruit. Shigo's fruit survived, but as many as two out of five trees did not make it during that cold, universal winter. When the old Kais stepped down they were afraid there would not be enough candidates.
They managed though to have one or two other trees, known as Kaiju, bear the burden and were able to pick fruits a decent number of "Golden Fruit" candidates for whenever the election day would come for the new Kais. When Shigo was born from his fruit, a golden fruit, the average number of specially designated Gold Fruit Kaioshin compared to regular Kaioshin was two fifths. Generally, to be satisfied with a tree's growing rate the Kaioshins who grew the trees expected more candidates. However, because so many trees had died they decided to go ahead and train Shigo and other Kaioshins from his tree for Supreme Kai status if they had the talent.
The first thing the Kaioshins did was test his intelligence from a young age, they let him read freely, play with building blocks, and sit around and count stars. Based on these tests, they concluded he was smart yet could never point out where in the galaxy he lived since he failed had no sense of direction or location. Despite this set back, they let him live with a pair of Kaioshins on the planet Kaishin hoping he would understand more as he grew. They figured he would learn more about the universe this way. A young Kaioshin that had no sense of direction made Kenzoku and Shinrui Kai nervous though. They were afraid he might rip a hole in the wrong dimension with his powers and fall in one day. This fear ended up aggravated by the fact that he loved watching various, living alien races interact on the planets he could sense them on and kept begging them to take him to different planets.
One day, they eventually gave in and took him to the home world of a telepathic group of aliens called the Kanassans. While there the Kanassans were very nice to him, but he noticed, they clearly were not the only race on the planet. Psyrans and Souseiki also lived on the planet yet were nowhere near as visible on the planet as Kanassans. He pondered what this could mean until he saw a few of them run into some stores and steal things. That was when he realized that the planet Kanassa had clear problems and left the planet with his family on the promise he would come back and fix it one day.
In order to do this, Shigo took his time learning how to master the True Kaioken, Magic Materialization, the Thunder Flash, and the Kaio Slash as well as two other techniques to increase his potential battle skills. This took him fifty thousand years to do and during this time, he watched the planet Kanassa continuously only to learn it was getting worse. After another fifty thousand years, and once he became the West Kai, he learned from other Kais he could not interact with any planets in the universe except in extreme cases. Thanks to this, his hands ended up tied as the Kanassan War with the Psyrans began and helped destroy parts of the planet and the Psyrans. In the end, he could only train the dead and sit around feeling bored. Something he was not hoping to do in such an important position of power, especially after what he heard about the greater Kais from the other Kaioshin.
