Shin's attacks were all successful and his speed was getting to Ethar. Ethar grew more angry with every blow Shin landed. The final blow connected and Shin could feel Ethar's power begin to rise to unimaginable heights, these were heights he's never personally seen before. Shin continued to run around Ethar hoping it would keep him off balance but he was wrong. Ethar launched a right hook that wasn't extremely powerful, but with the speed Shin was going the blow would be devastating. It connected causing Shin to back flip. Somehow Shin landed on his feet a bit dazed only to be hit with a leg sweep that sent him down fast.
Shin stayed down looking up at into the mentally created sky wondering what in the hell just happened. Here he was, a god, being floored by a mere mortal whose power was far beyond his. Shin tried to see if he has movement in his body by trying to move his toes. Not a single one moved at all, and he soon tried to see if he could move at all and he was completely immobilized by the power of Ethar. Here he was saying that might isn't everything and might is what placed him in this predicament. Yet and still Shin looked at Ethar with a smile and a slight cut above his brow.
"It seems I may have been a bit to hasty in my evaluation of how important might is in a fight. I've never been hit by someone with that much power a their disposal. I knew that there were depths to your power, but wow Ethar, wow." Shin began to cough as he could feel blood ooze out of the side of his face. Shin keeps his head to the side towards Ethar as not to choke on his own blood. Two simple attacks was all it had taken to defeat Shin, but can a god truly be defeated.
Shin looked back into the sky and swallows a mixture of blood and spit. "Water, my free flowing kindred spirit. My life has always been yours and yours alone. Aid me this day. Protect me as I have honored you. Forsake me not. Mother water, healer of all hear me now, Shin Buriketsai." In the blink of an eye water began to appear and consume Shin. One would think he were drowning and in great pain when in fact the opposite was happening. Water was his element as it was water that his style of fighting was based. His cut soon vanished and his body now healed. Shin would slightly open his mouth as the water entered. As he swallowed his body began to glow and shine with the beauty of his golden white aura. Shin had never shown anyone the True Kaioken, that was....until now.

Ethar smirked down at Shin who was flat on his back as he praised Ethar at his might, as he replied "My might may be great, but I fear its not enough in its current state for what is to come." as he watched Shin get up, and started to chant something.
As he was about to ask what was going on, Water surrounded Shin as Ethar started to get concerned, then suddenly he saw a golden aura inside the water, as he felt Shins power start to climb. "Damn it, NOW he powers up? Just my luck, and Id thought Id win this." He said, as he quickly grabbed the sword off of his back, and held it firmly. But as he did so in his current state, memories of his past came rushing to him. Memories... of something with water! HE saw images of himself making a ball of water infront of himself, and using it as a huge attack, and thats when it came back to Ethar.
"Hmph. Water may be your element...But its mine as well! For I am Ethar Luxun..." He said, as he started to focus his energy into his sword, as the energy actually started to pull some water away from Shins protective water casing, and form a ball infront of Ethar."... And I am duke of the Noran Water court! Tidal Sword attack!" He added, as he took his blade, and slashed it through the ball of water infront of him. And as soon as the blade connected with the water, breaking its surface, energy exploded from the sword into the ball of water, as the water itself erupted into what appeared to be a twister made out of raging water, which soared right at Shin, in an attempt to engulf him.

Some of Shin's mystical water was stolen from him by Ethar. Shin had no idea that Ethar possessed such a power. A large b all of water was soon formed and Ethar yelled out the name of his attack and something struck Shin like lighting. It was a memory of his ancestor's life. It was quick and brief and Shin focused on this twister in front of him soon after.
"You may have the power to control water and you may be a Duke, but you are not one with this living creature in front of you.
The twister came at Shin and swallowed him hole. One would think that this was the end of Shin, but it was exactly the opposite yet again. Shin's water lucidity fighting style not only was inspired by water, but he was one with water. Anything he wanted would be supplied through the magic and beauty of water. It would be a cold day in Hell before Shin met his demise or was injured by water.
Shin twirled and twirled inside of this twister before stopping himself and staring right into the eyes of Ethar. He placed both hands out in front of him and the twister itself exploded outwards into the distance. Ethar was still more powerful than him even in his true kaioken state, but when it came to control the element of water he was virtually untouchable.
"When was the last time you controlled water? When was the last time you practiced your craft? Hmph, then you try and gain the upper hand with an attack I damn near helped you master. You should have known better than to try such things. Now let's fight!"
Shin swooped down from the air with a diving knee to Ethar's skull. Shin would follow the attack up with an rising uppercut to try and send Ethar into the air. If he were successful on the uppercut he would then unload a five hit flurry of right kicks across Ethar's face with the last one packing the most powerful punch. This wouldn't defeat Ethar, but he had to at least try and give him a run for his money.

"About 500 years ago unfortunately..." He said, as Shin had emerged from the twister unharmed. It was quite unsettling for Ethar to see one of his only Elemental attacks had little to no effect on Shin. Then Shin unleashed a flury of attacks that hit their mark, cutting up Ethars face as he became dazed and fell over onto his hands and knees.
After a moment or so, Ethar, slowly got back up as blood slowly trickled down his face, but much to Shins surprise, the blood soon reversed direction, as it seemingly got sucked up back into Ethars face, and the cuts healed at a much faster rate then a normal person. Ethar couldnt help but smirk as he felt his face slowly revert back to its previous state before he got hit. "Not Bad Shin, Not bad at all. Whatever that golden Aura thing was, it really powered you up. What was it? I dont recall any Kaioshin having that before!"

Shin's attack were dead on as Ethar dropped down to his knees. Ethar seemed to be a bit damaged, but the blood that seeped from his face would retreat. It was as if he had some type of healing ability. Shin simply noted this in his mind and was ready to continue their fight. Granted Shin was still nowhere near Ethar's power but with his skill in battle this fight would still be a decent one.
Shin listens to Ethar's words and realizes that no mortal truly knows the full extent of a Kaioshin's power. "You know nothing of this because no kaioshin has ever done so in front of you. This is called True Kaioken. My red aura is masked by my natural aura, but since I've informed you on what it really is I can get rid of the extravagance." Shin's white golden aura became almost non existent and completely replaced with a fire red aura. "We Kaioshin can hold this form for however long we want in this plane and in heaven. However, if we were to venture out into the mortal realm with this power... it would take a great toll on us."
Shin spoke no more as the crowd wanted more seemingly craving it. Shin would oblige as he quickly swooped in with a shuffle side kick to Ethar's chest. Shin would then swing his left leg over and around very slowly before placing it back on the ground. Ethar would no doubt like the fact that Shin was all for the battle and meet Shin head on. Shin would be ready to answer whatever he threw his way.

"True Kaioken? Interesting... It seems to give ya quite the boost of power, a bigger boost then anything I can currently do... Is it possible for Non-Kaioshens to learn such a technique?" He asked, as Ethar learned what gave Shin the large boost of energy, as he saw his golden aura fade to a firey red aura.
He knew what was going to happen as soon as the crowd started to chant for more fighting, and was quite prepared for Shins attack, as he caught Shins leg in mid kick and held on. "That wont work on me so easily." He said, as he held shin with his free hand, and used his sword hand to attempt and hit Shin on the head hard with the bottom of the handle of his hilt, in an attempt to daze him.

Shin tried to land the shuffle side kick, but Ethar was prepared as he caught the kick easily. Soon Shin would be hit right under the chin with the bud of Ethar's sword. This would cause Shin to take a few steps back as eyes were glazed over. He shook his head to try and shake off the dizziness. Once his vision returned he set his sights right back on Ethar.
He ran toward Ethar performing a smooth, but quick front flip over his head. He would follow the front flip with a leg sweep to Ethar. If he could land the leg sweep and bring Ethar to the floor he would quickly try and land an elbow to Ethar's throat before his body hit the ground. If Shin could land this it would cause a nice bit of damage due to Ethar being hit in the throat only to have the ground add to the impact. Shin was a calculating fighter and every single move he did served a purpose.
Whether he would be able to land it all or not he would take a few steps back to create space from Ethar. "It's possible for a mortal to learn the basic form of the kaioken and also the True kaioken, but the True Kaioken take's years and years to truly leanr. It's why only the dead truly have a shot at mastering such a technique. Besides, we aren't allowed to teach a warrior such a thing. I can only allow you to learn of the basic form. However, I fail to see how it would truly help you as you have no need for such a technique."

Ethar was prepared for a frontal attack, and swung his sword at Shin just as the Kaioshin leapt up over Ethar, causing him to miss. "What the?" He asked himself as his blade missed, and Ethar felt a leg make him trip from behind, as he fell flat on his back, causing him to drop his sword. And as soon as contact with his blade was broken, Ethars power dropped immensely, and his body reverted back to his base form, making him much weaker then Shin.
Unfortunately for Ethar, it was the worse timing as Shins Elbow slammed into his throat, making Ethar unable to breathe for a few moments, as he slowly turned blue for a moment before he forced some air into his lungs. Ethar laid on the ground for a few moments before panting heavily and listened to Shins words. "I-Im a Noran Hybrid, We live for hundreds of years... I got time to learn everything you can teach me... And as you can see... " He said, as he slowly struggled to get up, and looked over to his sword.
"I dont know why it is, but I can only power up if Im holding my Oceans Fury sword... Your...Kaio-thing technique would be great if I get disarmed..."

Shin's attacks landed perfectly and he almost wish they hadn't. as soon as Shin landed his leg sweep the sword flung from Ethar's hand causing his power to drop greatly. Shin felt this, but it was too late for him to stop the next attack. The elbow to the throat landed and Shin could only watch helplessly as Ethar struggled to get air. Shin watched as he rolled around holding his throat, but air would soon come back to him as the pain left his throat.
Ethar seemed amazed at the power Shin exuded while in his True Kaioken state. Shin admired his enthusiasm and his wanting to learn the technique himself, but Shin could not teach him. "I cannot teach you this just yet. This technique takes time and great concentration. It takes a toll on your body and your life. Only the kais can use this technique and endure it for long periods of time. Besides, In this realm I've brought you there isn't much I can teach you. The experience will last and stay with you forever, but anything learned....it's hard to say. This place is accessible to only I, and I will change that in time."
Shin powers down and his flaming aura flares out. "Though we've only fought for a brief moment, the strain on your mind for being here will wear on your body. If we are to meet here again we will have to do so when we are both well rested. Even a kai's mind isn't strong enough to endure the mental strain of this place for long.....yet" Shin spoke the truth dealing with this place. Even know he could feel his body and mind growing weaker. He knew that true growth was in the future, but for now he just needed to leave this place. "We need to get back to our physical bodies. Mine I know is safe, but yours there is no telling. We will meet again. I simply ask that you continue to grow as a warrior, and soon you won't have to rely on a sword." Shin walked up to Ethar and placed his index finger on the center of Ethar's forehead and his own. "Realese" With that one word, Shin and Ethar would be sent back to their physical bodies.
Shin now back inside his body took his hand out of his enchanted pond and stood up. He was a bit woozy, but otherwise fine. He laid down into his enormous bed with a smile on his face. Today had been a great day.

Ethar nodded in agreement, He knew Shin had a good point when he said that he couldnt teach anything to Ethar in terms of techniques while they were only meeting in a mental state, but Ethar shuddered at the idea of being stuck in heaven again for a prolonged amount of time. "Farewell Shin, I do hope one of us finds a way to visit the other without having Death involved." HE said, as Shin put his fingers on Ethars head, and said something that made Ethar dive right bac into his psychical body. The force actually made Ethar fall onto his back, wide eyed at the experience.
He looked around him and saw he was back on the mountain, but he also felt a good deal bit stronger. "Well...Better head down back to the school and rest up." He said, as Ethar took flight, and flew his way down the mountain while he would try to remember the exact events that took place in his dream state with Shin...

Well now... This was interesting! Well played, fellas!
Now, first things first: Shin, remember what we discussed in the pm? The mental plane you've conceived is an advanced training technique. Pm me the description of the technique when you've got it written down. Guidelines, since this is a difficult technique, is that you can't teach anyone techniques, and, for now and only this part to mentioned, you may only have one other person in this plain at a time... OH, and there are no special benefits similar to the time chamber, gravity training, and weights (it's in the mind, not the physical that it's directed at). Now to the grading part:
Ethar: 2125
Shin: 3749
Well done, fellas. This thread is closed!
