After the battle with the horde of Saiyans Leta's bursts of speed powered by her ki allowed her to run north back towards North City with incredible speed. As she got closer to the city though she halted on a frozen plateau and placed her hands on her knees to catch her breathe. Letting out a series of heavy pants she croaked, "Why was I so weak back there? And why did we just let Requies kill a guy?"
She could not understand but it made her mad, especially since she had no control over her own power or way to sense it. The reason being she had not yet had proper training for this. Thanks to this, her emotions welled up as she stood around letting snow fall onto her pink hair. Her body shivered as well and from this came anger. Nothing ever went her way so she let this anger out in the worst way possible, a powerful blast of psychic energy, erupted from her eyes as ki gathered there. and formed into a burning sensation. It warmed her face as she she strange psychic flame at the ground and let them burn the ice. Her hands began to warm up too and as she looked at them fires formed in her fists.
"What is this?" she pondered as she let out excess energy onto the ice around her. What she had yet to realize was that she had stumbled across the fact she still had a ton of excess energy. She wondered where it had all come from and did not really have a clue at all. She released more of her red ki from her eyes and hands thinking it was her Saimin no Jutsu, but as more time passed and she melted more and more of the icy plateau she came to feel she had stumbled across something different then it. It was just her normal ability to shoot powerful ki energy.
"If only the others knew I had this uncontrollable power," she said to herself as she used her burning powers from her hands to decimate her surroundings, "if I had this then things would have been different." Vapors rose into the air as heat came off the ground and very soon after having melted all the ice Leta found herself standing in a puddle of water seeping over the edge of a flat rock. She bent down, having tired herself out from her angry workout, and drank the water she had melted. Scooping it up like a pig, she had a good eight ounces of water all to herself and sipped it all up from the ground. There was still plenty after that though so the woman's hands went and grabbed more water off the ground with her hands. She had come across a more power than she had ever had before, but it was not surprising since many psychic like fighters and normal ki users had learned that they were filled with excess ki compared to the normal human and manipulated it for their own purposes.
With her belly full of water though she did not care. All she knew is that the next time she met space monkeys they would be toast. That was her desire in the very near future. One thing she knew was the blast had been mostly invisible except for the odd flames that had briefly appeared on her arms and over her eyes and the fires that had hit the ground moments later. Maybe she was just a super fast user of ki. If so, she had to be careful how she used it because it felt like her body had expended a lot of energy again doing what she had done.

As she sat there on the plateau the need to focus, control her ki, and manipulate it properly for her own safety and the safety of others entered Leta's mind. Her power (controlled and readily accessible) would be more beneficial to her and others than it had been in the plains area where she had fought the Saiyan group from before. She thought back to the time then and remembered how she had nearly gone blind from overextending her current power.
She lay back in what remained of the water of the plateau and thought to herself, "Leta, you must enhance your abilities. You are a danger to yourself in a real fight where your mental energy and ki might be useful. All the other warriors around you could use it without batting a finger and they beat you up because of this weakness." She clenched her fists and shook her head back and forth, "No," she told herself, "you must remember it was not that entirely, but your body as well that could not handle fighting. Overall, it can be said you stink at combat."
She sat up and curled into a ball as she let the water from the pool at her feet drip down the back of her tank top and soak into her skin and clothes. "Earth is different," she muttered to herself aloud, "On Kanassa you could fight Kanassans because they are weaklings. Even the Kanassan on Earth you found harassing the hotel you were at was weak."
Rumor had it that long ago Kanassans were very strong beings. They had powerful mental skills and the ability to readily control ki so much, so that they were such a threat Saiyans had to be called in to wipe them out hundreds of years ago. The Kanassan that existed now was apparently a planet from that point and time way back when, but then rumor also had it that the Kanassans were not only wiped out yet also came back from their unwelcome defeat. It was something the Kanassa people spoke of whenever she had encountered them on their planet raiding her family's home and trying to take back caves and lands they considered theirs. Kanassans also fervently said their turtle-like appearance was not outdated though relatively new features of their psychic race. They were fish people much like the Psyrans had been.
"That is the reason they attack us..." her mother had once told her, "They think we will become like they once were and they will change into something different."
"No one likes change and for that reason they protect their way of life like we protect ours." Her father had added into this conversation. This was a part of brief conversation they had with her when she was seven and had asked them about the peoples of their planet.
The memories flowed through her but quickly died like cold embers in a hearth. She slammed her fists into the bed rock at her feet where she sat and felt the waters around her splash up around her and onto her black leather pants. "Damn it all if I fail here for my people and myself. I left my planet to get away from the annoying turtle-fish people and I find one here, then I travel around with a nice human I suppose and I end up finding the scourge of the universe in the form of Saiyans and the odd Arcosian here as well."
She looked up into the sky with her green eyes as she stood up and let the water of the plateau wash over her feet and thought, "Just what kind of place have I landed in. I know really nothing of my people cause I cared not to listen and now I come to this new home and finds so many different kinds of aliens around me."
Power flowed through her fists again and the burning sensation of ki entered the neural pathways in the palm of her hand. It felt warm again almost like fire and she threw out another bolt of energy before suddenly watching it turn invisible. A second later it slammed into a nearby tree and the plant exploded into splinters and burnt in a sea of red flames. Something was definitely modifying her energy. "What is my body telling me?" she pondered.
The burning sensation got more powerful in her hands as she threw a blast out of her left hand and watched it explode in mid air. A memory came to her as it exploded and she remembered a time way back when with her father where he had thrown seemingly invisible ki at those who had threatened when a group of Kanassans had come to take their newest cave dwelling at age eight.
It was a rainy day on planet Kanassa and the sun was about to go down at this point and time. Three Kanassans approached their home and her father had stood ready outside of it. "Get back inside the house," he had told her while she was standing on top of the cliff that made up her family's roof. She had jumped down from their roof, landed on the ground, and run inside just before the small fight had begun. Her eyes peeked over a hole in one of their rock windows and she opened their glass paned windows slightly with her fingers, only to hear her father shout at the three big turtles coming towards him, "What you can't see you ignore you dumb Kanassans! I can't believe you choose to not see and ignore us Psyrans who have equal right to live where we want to on this planet."
All of the Kanassans were green in color with turtle shells on their back and wore long, white cloth robes, but the one in the center had big, black sunglasses and puffy lips. Although Leta could not really remember her father she could remember the big turtle man who was the leader of this recent slew of attackers, "Oh, we see you all, but the thing is you are a nuisance. You want to live out in these boonies for cultural reasons cause you don't like us. Well, we don't like you because you think you're unique. I've heard stories you all don't use your psychic powers unless you have to. I really think you should considering the fact we amazing Kanassans can build cities with ours."
He pointed at the cave in front of him and behind her father and directly at let with his fat finger. "Ain't it a shame to let your daughter live in a rock? Wouldn't she be more happy to have a properly shaped house, a high rise of made of metal, a glass dome of wonder over her head rather than this thing?"
Leta could see her father shake his head from the window and said, "Nope, I don't think she would. She likes climbing on our roof and all those things would make it too hard for her to have fun that way. A house whether it was made of wood, brick, or stone, if I hear you right, would be like a humans' place. Human use slanted roofs she could slip and fall. If she were in a place made of metal a high rise would make her scared to climb again just because of how high she was off the ground. And if she wanted to live in a glass dome she would slip and fall."
Her father then lifted his hands and in less than an instant, a fight ensued. She remembered seeing red ki like her own form in his hands and then suddenly it disappeared. As a child, she sensed it moving from his hands and eyes into the center of his body before firing out of his whole body in an explosive wave-like fashion all around him. The power that flared around him was so grand Leta had shut her eyes and a moment later. All three of the warriors around her and her father had fallen to the ground when she opened them again.
Leta took in this sensation of the past and closed her eyes to feel the flow of energy in her body. It was rather difficult to do because she did not have the training, but after three straight hours of doing this she managed to summon her ki properly through the muscles in her body so it went to her hands and eyes equally. Without a second thought she pulled the power back in towards the center of her body, remembering in the past when her father had done this, and then fired out a small, but deadly wave all around her cracking the ground, and the remaining boulders and shrubs around her. A great deal of heat rose off the ground and she remembered her father’s name for this defensive technique.
“This is the Shogekiha,” he had told her when he walked back into the house with fire blazing all around the area where he once had stood, “only use it in an emergency to defend yourself.” Now was the time to use such a thing Leta realized because Earth was a semi-hospitable yet still dangerous place. She looked around at her work and the damage her explosive wave caused and found just simply upon walking around that burning cinders were being caught in her sandals as she walked along the plateau examining her work. She could feel a bit of sweat dripping down her shoulders and sat down again at the edge of the plateau to take a long deserved break. The wind blew over her face and cooled her and for a long while she let herself sit there as she played with her energy in her hand.
She clearly had power, even though it was defensive energy, but controlling it more, maybe learning how to sense it would become her next task in the near future. It was an important task she needed to learn since Saiyans, as seen with her last fight with them, could do this freely. Her father would be sad to know too just, how weak she was after all the years he had spent defending her. She knew at that time, when she was seven to eight years old, her father had completely protected her and that was not the time he had died. It would come a little later after this she remembered at a time she was much older and knew ki or at least some fighting techniques more. It was a time when she was definitely not as skilled as she was now, but she had some skill of sorts that allowed her to deal with things as need be. Still, even now though she was somehow clearly weak. Only training more than she had before could erase her weaknesses.
Learning:
Shogekiha: Is an invisible blast shot from the eyes or hand that burns on impact.

This... This was awesome! Not gonna lie, there was a moment in the second post where the grammar was throwing me a bit off, specifically at the the 4th paragraph, but then it picked up later on! Nicely done!
Now, as you explained, this is an aoe attack around the self, ignite the energy outward to burn intensely and it's a bit costly. Put this in the description when you add this technique to your character sheet... DAMN YOU D&D AND YOUR INFLUENCE! DX
And, as for your power gained, here it is: 2081 PL gain!
