After some negotiation on the admin end... (a phrase which won't be applicable for much longer), we have an exciting announcement for members of World of Dragonball: Resurrection!
Conventionally, these forums have been divided into two kinds of member; the players, and the admin. The leaders would make decisions on the members behalf, and shape the forum structure via closed committee, sometimes taking on suggestions or hearing a few opinions, but otherwise acting as ruling body on all matters - judge, jury and executioner.
Now however, we are looking towards a new model; it's a little crazy, but it's this obscure notion you might just have heard of, it's called... democracy
.
That is to say, true democracy, where every last member can cast their vote when a decision is to be made; everyone essentially becomes an 'admin' and the player-base's decisions will be what shape and guide every aspect of the site. We're hoping this new completely transparent admin style will foster some interesting results and help insure this is exactly the place that you, the players, want it to be.
No longer operating behind closed doors or making judgements on your behalves, everything will instead work how you, the players, decide it should.
In truth, there may be some kinks to iron out, and it is certainly an exercise in trust, but we're running it as an experiment we can't wait to see how things go.
Keep your eyes open, polls will be opening soon on some of the discussions that had been under way in the admin section, indeed the latest of which involves this new update.
Equally, feel free to put up suggestions, offer critiques, and put in requests in the suggestions area. The goal is that, once organised and some options clarified, each and every one would be put up to a vote, and given a shot at getting in if your fellow members support it's inclusion.
Of course, Admin are still here to provide grades, guidance, and moderation if needed, but now is the time for you to have your voice heard
