Training Marcus, Part One

Ryota let out a sigh as he wandered around the Galleon searching for Marcus, he knew from speaking with a few of the crew that Marcus had been doing well in the spar's he'd had but was still having problems with actually using his Ki energy. Deciding that Marcus could do to have a partner that could easily take anything that he could dish out Ryota was searching for him. Smirking as he found the large human Ryota grabbed the man around the neck with one arm. "Hey Marcus, lets go do some training." Ryota said giving the large man a smirk causing the others that Marcus had been working with the let out chuckles and a few wishes of 'good luck'.

"Erg... I.. cant.. breath" Marcus choked out as he was dragged by Ryota. "Then stop letting me drag you, heck It kinda sucks for me too your heavy as fuck." Ryota said with a laugh before stopping for a moment to let the large man go. "Lets go, I've heard from Keyra and a few others that you've been doing decent but you've still got a few problems." Ryota said as Marcus rubbed his neck and followed after him. "Yeah I've been tryin' to do those magic energy blasts you guys can do but it's jus not been workin' except for when I fought Keyra." He said with a shrug. "Mmh, yeah shes pretty good at that, a lot of newbies don't like losing to a Succubus even if she's only half 'cuz they don't realize at first that shes more into kicking ass than really anything you'd expect, you probably didn't have that problem though considering you probably didn't even know. You either just didn't want to lose to a woman, or look weak, maybe both." Ryota said giving the man a grin and a pat on the back. "Yeah a bit of both." Marcus said while hoping beyond belief that he wasn't gong to piss Ryota off with his comment. "Don't worry about it, just don't let her know that that was part of it. Then she'll really kick your ass. I already know your gonna lose that whole negative look on losing to a woman, 'cuz your gonna fight Keyra a lot and she's gonna kick your ass, a lot." Ryota said with another laugh as they reached the deck. Marcus paled slightly at the thought of fighting Keyra again but did his best to hide it.

"Today however you don't have to worry about fighting Keyra, your opponent right now is gonna be me." Ryota said with a smile as he turned around to face Marcus. "Yeah I kinda figured that when you dragged me half way through the ship." Marcus said as he cracked his still sore neck, he then took up his best fighting stance and waited for Ryota to make his move. He was used to Keyra's way of starting things which involved a very quick assault on his everywhere as quickly as she could.

Marcus waited... and waited... and waited... but Ryota just stood there not moving an inch, his hand lazily resting on the hilt of his sword. "If your ready then come at me. We're gonna start this off with you actually trying to do some damage. I'll give you about... ten minutes to make me increase my power so that your hits won't pack as much of a punch. Keyra taught you how to sense energy right?" Ryota asked earning a nod from Marcus as he slipped his brass knuckles on. "You sure about this boss? I mean I know your tough but are you really just gonna let me throw everythin' I got at you?" Marcus asked earning a chuckle form Ryota. "If you can actually cause some real pain then I'll start increasing my power but the only way your gonna be able to do that is if you either use an energy attack or enhance your body with your energy. I've seen you do at least that when we fought at the bar so maybe you should try focusing in on that bit." Ryota said earning a bit of a confused look from Marcus.

Taking one last look at Ryota just to see if he really was joking about this Marcus took a deep breath and charged at Ryota, with all of his might he swung hit after hit at Ryota only to have Ryota more or less casually block the attack, it wasn't even a real block more like he was trying to brush away the attacks. Marcus clenched his fists as he stopped his assault for a moment not feeling any fluctuation in Ryota's power. Taking another breath Marcus clenched his fists again this time however he focused on his energy like Keyra had told him. This time however he took Ryota's advice as well and moved that focus into his arms, into his fists, and then taking it a step further into the brass knuckles. Ryota raised an eyebrow as he watched Marcus's arms begin to glow a dull grey color.

Once he could really feel the power coursing through his arms Marcus let out a roar and in that moment his entire aura erupted around him as he sent a hard right directly for Ryota's chest. Ryota instantly realized this attack was very diffrent from the others. Marcus had put ALOT of power into that one more power than he'd ever even felt in Marcus before. Ryota powered up to his full strength and even a but further activating the Makaioken in order to block the attack fully. "That was beyond impressive Marcus." Ryoa said as he shook his arms a bit feeling a bit of a sting from the impact. "It appears you have even more strength than I realized. Now, that you seem to have some understanding of how to manipulate your energy. Lets have some real fun." Ryota said as the Makioken faded away and an evil grin spread across his face. "Shit.."
