Carmine came out of sleep mode in his quarters on the Demon Galleon. Keyra had helped put him back together and get him fighting fit again after his spar with Ryota, which had gone much farther than he thought. Afterwards, he had decided to salvage some scrap to rebuild the Cyclone, and while in the city he had noticed some rather intense excitement over a tournament that was to be held soon.
He returned to the Galleon with haste, a number of extra parts in tow.
Carmine had been reevaluating his combat strategy. and had come to the conclusion that he was sorely in need of a ranged combat option. However, he seemed to have been built with absolutely no way to direct his core energy into a blast like other, fleshier fighters could. He had been working on a method involving quartz crystal, and had finally managed to gather up enough to put together a proper system.
First things first, he needed to remove his left forearm. There was going to need to be a lot of work on the limb, as it was going to need to change shape when activating the weapon. A simple matter of gears and small-scaled pistons, all of which he could fabricate or find on the Galleon itself. He unfastened the forearm at the elbow pinning and detached the wiring, and then set to work separating the casing and modifying the internals.
Similar to the photon light array in his head, he set up the quartz crystals in a circular pattern. However, rather than being directed at a small mirror, they were directed at another quartz, slightly larger and cut to specifications, set into a steel casing. Mirrored steel lining connected the smaller crystals, and was set up in such a way that it would all fold together like the iris of a camera for storage.
He modified the casing to separate and rearrange itself, the hand retracting into the forearm and the coloration of the area becoming a gunmetal grey. When the weapon was activated, the change would be near-immediate, the weapon ready to fire. It would be capable of firing smaller, uncharged bolts of energy, but its primary function was to fire off a large charged shot - a circular ball of black and purple light not unlike a cannon ball. He estimated the destructive wield to be similar to the Turtle School's Kamehameha technique.
He reattached his arm, and noticed that it had turned dark. The stars were out and twinkling. The modifications had taken the better part of a solar cycle, considering he did it one handed. He activated and deactivated it quickly - the change was smooth, slick, like oil over glass. The crystals made a faint hissing sound as they charged, almost like a burning fuse.
He made his way up to the deck and tested the weapon out. A few simple shots of the purple energy, followed by the primary charged shot. It lit up the night sky like a comet, and a crewman with insomnia patted him on the shoulder approvingly. Carmine looked at him and smiled.
"I call it the Galleon Buster."
((Basically learning an android form of the Kamehameha, as well as giving Carmine a way of tossing out super basic ki blasts, if that's allowed - I figured it wouldn't be a problem as it wasn't listed amongst Ryota's major techniques, but he had tossed a few nonspecific shots my way in the spar. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.))
