having left the village far behind bassoon traveled on, this time to a place he had been before, to that of the warrior castes ancient proving grounds, the very island he'd hatched from his egg on, marked by totem like pillars declaring its importance and marking it as forbidden ground to none namekians.
after a brief swim over the calm green water and past the bounds, it was desolate. no whistling blasts of ki that singled the young advocates were practicing what they had been taught on the various makeshift dummies, nor the sound of crackling fires and approving hrrrming of the veterans overseeing them.
It worried him greatly, it was an undeniable sign of the namekians decline in both power and numbers, these feelings raged within him, becoming mixed witht he guilt of showing up people he had thought of as brothers and the intrinsic pride in his own strength.
Roaring like a frustrated and wounded beast he lashed out and with a sweeping chop shattered the nearest training dummy into splinters, feeling strangely satisfied and slightly less in his own mind he carried on, crushing the next training dummy with a mighty palm strike to its mid section, knocking the short stubs that would have been the shoulders of the imaginary target clean out of there settins and fracturing the heavy stone block that made up its chest. on and on he went, peeling one appart with a raging torrent of finger beams, blowing another away in the surging torrents of his mystic crasher technique.
it was as with a great expenditure of his ki and another brutal application of his mystic crasher that he finally came back to his senses as he watched the charred and smoking remains of the training equipment being cast into the water, appalled at what he had done he feel to his knee's and clutched his head between his hands what on namek had come over him ? could it be that the legendary arrogance of the super nameks, the tyrants oncce banished from the original namek centuries ago was now resurfacing in him ? no it couldn't be...he wouldn't let it be so.
Rising back to his feet, fists clenched firmly at his sides and head slightly lowered in embarrassment he silently turned away from the mess he had made and carried on towards the meditation chamber, silently thanking the ancestors he had not destroyed that rather than the much much easier to replace training dummies.
putting himself firmly stop the centeral stone he entered his inner world once again to ponder the nature of his outburst and try to glean understanding and strength from his failure to keep his composure in the face of this decay, he spent the next several hours pouring over and over the events, reliving them over and over, and supressing his feelings of self disgust he analyzed them.
reasoning that he had given way to the stress of leaving his post coupled with the fact there were so few warrior namekians to defend their people should the need arise he came to a single, simple conclusion, he could not leave namek, not until he'd seen his people, his family, once again rise to a position of safety and security again.
His heart grew a little heavy as once again the doorway to the wider universe slowly closed to him once again. and yet, slightly comfortable with the weight of responsability as it settled once again upon his shoulders.
Before then he would ward himself against the demons of rage inducing despair that had seized his heart and made him lash out, he could not, He would not return to the company of his kind until he felt sure he wouldn't lash out at them should his composure fail again, he felt this island was secluded enough that he wouldn't even see another namekian until leaving, unless by some unprecedented miracle another warrior class was born and one of the few masters found him and brought him to be raised here.
so much work and all the time in the world he felt there was no better point at which to start than right then, and so began a rigorous routine of physical exercise and strict meditation to hone his mind and body for the task he was about to undertake he would need to be as powerful as he could, when he felt he had reached the zenith he would fission himself into two separate beings and attempt to subdue the darkness in his heart at the height of its power with the light it feared and hated and recombine with full mastery over his impulses.
