"No, no, Aquanus. You need to try again!" Seerg said, slapping him across the face. "Try harder! Do you ever want to learn this technique!?"
A younger Aquanus picked himself up off the tiled ground of his parent's palace, and tried again. Focusing, he said, "Hey, Seerg. See that chair over there? Sit down, please. It's so comfortable, you won't regret it!"
His older brother looked at him for a second, then landed a punch squarely on his cheek, blasting him backwards a few feet. He tried to fight back tears. Only being 11, he still had much to learn about strength. He shook his head and looked up at his brother, who was glaring at him with disapproving eyes.
"Little brother, you'll never be as strong as me. You're lucky I want you to be my henchman, otherwise your remains would litter the floor right now. Now, try again. Remember: make whatever you want me to do seem appealing to me. Otherwise, it'll never work on a stronger opponent!" He stood up straight, and was looking at his brother intently.
"You're lucky I didn't kill you when you were born. A possible threat to the empire would constitute more than enough reason for me to end your pathetic life."
Something snapped then. Perhaps it was finally time for this to work.
Aquanus stared straight into Seerg's eyes, and said firmly, "Stop moving, and raise your head and look at the ceiling. You're so tired from training your pathetic brother."
Seerg seemed to resist for a minute, but then his eyes took a tranquil, glazed look. "You're right, little brother. You're so infuriating sometimes..." He looked up, and his neck locked. Grinning, Aquanus saw his chance.
Holding his index and middle finger up, he generated an orange beam that pulsed around the two fingers. This was his fissure slash, a move he took him a long while to finally figure out how to work well. He slashed the air, and the arc shot out, going straight toward his brother's exposed neck.
Empowered by Aquanus' pure hatred and contempt for his brother, the beam was easily able to slice through his Seerg's neck. His body kneeled on the floor, and then finally collapsed. There was a little blood spilling from his neck (Aquanus hasn't really mastered the fissure slash yet,) and Seerg's head rolled in front of Aquanus, blank and staring. Satisfied with today's training, Aquanus walked out of the room, and went to go play with his little sister.
I promise i'll be a better brother than Seerg, he thought to himself, and it's something he took to heart.
((Zeni, please))
