Kris stepped out of the building atop Kami's Lookout. He walked leisurely towards the middle of the large platform, taking some time to appreciate the cool breeze that often blew at this altitude. He parted his long, dark, messy hair to the side as he observed Kami's small garden. Kami was quite the gardener it seemed. Kris got back up and walked to the very center of the platform. It was very relaxing on top of this floating platform... But that didn't mean he would relax for long. He had training to do, after all. Kris decided to start his daily training like usual.
He brought his arms to his side, clenching his fists and bending his arms upward in the classic Ki gathering stance. "... Hyaaaaaaaaaaaaaahh...!" Kris yelled out as he began raising his power level. His body was engulfed by a deep, sky blue aura as he released his inner Ki throughout his body. He raised his energy almost as high as he could. He could go a bit further, but doing so would drastically cut the am mount of time he could train.
Once his Ki had reached a high enough level, he began his routine. He gathered Ki into his feet and leaped high into the air. After the momentum from the jump wore off, he propelled himself higher yet with his Bukujutsu. After reaching an incredible height where it was getting more difficult to breath, he stopped flying, gradually losing speed before he began to freefall. He faced upwards as he fell faster and faster, picking up more momentum.
Once he reached his max falling speed, he held his hand out, opening his palm towards the sky. He then charged a Crasher Ball a few inches away from his hand. The bright orb was glowing with an orange-red tone and made a screeching sound as it shrunk from the size of a basketball to the size of a baseball, condensing the destructive Ki and making it more dangerous. After taking a few seconds to focus it's energy, he shot it up into the air, giving it a downward curve. The ball of Ki went up, then looped back down, racing past Kris about 20 feet away. Kris held his hand out towards the Crasher Ball and shot a small basic Ki blast. Bullseye! Kris grinned as he shot down his own ball of Ki.
The purpose of this exercise was to practice Ki control and aiming, as well as split-second reflex. Kris spun himself and faced upwards again, this time firing three Crasher Balls in rapid succession. After firing them, they curved and raced beside him on different sides. Kris used Bukujutsu to pivot himself around, firing small Ki blasts at each Crasher Ball. He missed one shot, but quickly made up for it.
He repeated this cycle, firing 5, 8, and even 10 shots. As soon as he shot down his last round of Crasher Balls, he neared the Lookout again. He flipped himself over to land on his feet, then braced himself, bending his knees slightly.
He hit the ground with a thud. His Ki had been drained substantially from his training with the Crasher Balls, but as soon as he hit the ground, he sprung up and started throwing a quick flurry of punches and kicks. He threw his attacks as hard as possible, purposely straining his muscles to get the best workout.
After a few minutes of this, Kris' energy was getting low. He decided it was time to wrap things up. He took a deep breath, then jumped into the air and used his signature Flash Kick, focusing his Ki to his leg in order to kick at over 20 kicks per second. He managed to keep it up for about 5 seconds before his leg burned too much to continue. He slowly descended to the ground, then crossed his legs as he sat.
He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, meditating for a few minutes. After all, it was as Sohen had taught him long ago: "The mind is the warrior's strongest weapon. Without a capable mind, the body cannot be used to it's full extent."
After about 5 minutes of meditation, Kris got up and hobbled back into the building. It was a good training session, and Kris felt that he would get a decent benefit from it.
