Learning the basics(Satin)

Following Satan's directions, Tensai arrived on one of the Gengoro Islands and since Satin didn't specify which one, he picked Wonder Island after playing a game of innie minnie minney mo in his head. As for the problem of his parents, Tensai sneaked out in the middle of the night leaving a note saying that he was going to learn how to fight and that he'll be back in a few days. Luckily for Tensai, he left the day before the city was attacked by Meishi and headed to the island by boat with money he took from his parents. Unfortunately, Tensai had no idea that the city was attack or about the fact that his parents were killed in a massive explosion. Shortly after Tensai arrived on the island, he found himself on the side of a dirt road having no idea what to do.

The sun shinned above him without a single cloud in the sky and once in a while, there was a gentle breeze that was just cool enough to deal with the heat. As a breeze blew past Tensai, he started to wonder how exactly Satin will find him seeing how he was just one person. If he was going to wait a while, he figured that he could finish the rest of the necessary found amongst his necessary items in his black book bag. However, these necessary items were mainly junk food and manga. Tensai would then take a seat on the ground and pulled up last month's issue of Shonen Jump. He would then take out a large cookie and began reading the manga known as Bleach.

Satin had just flown in temparilly from Central City, she didn't really care where the child was however he would be easy to spot. A child on one of these islands would be easy to spot, nad the fact that he was short only helped her more. After a few hours Satin was planning on returnining to Centrtal City to go shoping, she needed something normal to wear for day-to-day use. Besides, she had stoped living in the wielderness, meaning that she had to stay in the city for food since she didn't want to hunt for it anymore.

After about three minutes Satin spotted her apprentice, reading manga and eating cookies. She could see the title Bleach on the cover, however she didn't know why she found that so interesting. She landed infront of him, then smirked down at him as if she were about to kill him or something along those lines. "Time for training Tensai. You'll start by doing fifteen push ups, twenty curl ups and then I'll get to the harder stuff." She said smiling.

As Tensai took a bite from his cookie, Satin landed in front of him and when he looked up at her, the smirk she gave sent chills down his spine. Satin would then get straight to business and told Tensai to do 15 push ups and 20 curl ups before starting the hard stuff. What's a curl up? thought Tensai as he swallowed the cookie. At the school Tensai went, he had never even had to do a push up during gym since he was six years old and the school was more concerned about grades than athletics. Tensai would then quickily eat the rest of his large cookie by finishing it with four big bites.

After finishing the cookie, Tensai would then get on his stomach with his hands on the ground before trying to lift himself up. Even though he had never had to do a push up, he knew the basic fundamentals of one from seeing someone do one on the T.V at the T.V store he passes on the way home. The young boy was actually quite nervous because the people he saw doing it were fats kids on a television show that was basically the Biggest Loser for kids. When Tensai did his first push up, he could help but notice how easy it was and smiled at the fact that it wasn't as hard as it seemed. But then again, Tensai was already naturally strong to begin with.

After doing the 15 push ups very quickly, Tensai stood back up on his feet without a hint of fatigue and asked "Stain, what's a curl up?"

Satin watched him do the push-ups, correctly and easily to her surprise. Then she heard him ask what a curl-up was? 'I'm I going crazy? Whats with the world today?" She thought blankly as she just stared at him for a minute. " A Curl-up... is like this." She said simply getting on her back as an example. She placed her hands behind her head and got up to her knees before going back down and do it again. After the third one she got up to her feet and stared down at him.

"I would fully expect you know what exercise is. So I want you to start running after you do 50 curl-ups. Run around the island until you come back to me, then we'll start on the harder stuff." She said smiling as she grabbed the remainder of the cookies. "I think I'll eat some of these while I wait." She said picking up the manga and looking at the pictures since she really couldn't read very well.

Tensai watched intently as Satan did the curl ups, so intently that if he was a teenager, one might think that he was ogling at her body instead of learning how to do curl ups. After finishing the third curl up, Satin got up and told him that she would fully expect to know what exercise is and told him to do 50 curl up before running around the island.

"You want me to run around the island?! It's enormous and I might get lost" said Tensai before Satin picked up his cookie and told him that she was going to eat some of the cookies.

"Fine..., just be sure to leave me some. I spent all of the money I took from my parents just to get here and all of my food is in that bag" said Tensai as he pointed to his black book bag which was on the ground next to Satin.

Satin looked down at him, her emotions unreadable. "Alright then. I suggest you stick to the coast... but remember. If you stop running then I'll eat all of these cookies by myself." She said smiling as she began to nibble on one of the larger cookies before continuing. 'I swear... he's going to be one hell of a challenge. I cant wait to start using Ki attacks.' She thought smiling.

Satin then elevated herself so that she was in the air, looking down at Tensai as if she were superior. "I suggest you get started. It's almost dark outside." She said darkly as she began to look at the pictures in the Bleach manga.

"Alright, let me do the curl ups first" said Tensai as he got on his back and put his knees up. He would then place his hands behind his head and brought his upper body to his knees and like with the push ups, Tensai really didn't have any trouble doing them. I really hope she doesn't spoil to me what's going on in Bleach. I haven't been able to read last months issue because of the studying I had to do for that test thought Tensai as he did his first 10 curl ups very quickly. After finishing with 20, Tensai got onto his feet and turned towards the direction of the coast. Determined to get the running over with, Tensai sprinted towards the coast at top speed leaving an after image behind in his place.

Since this was the first time Tensai was actually determined to go full throttle, he himself didn't know that he was capable of moving so fast that he could leave an after image. After getting to the coast, Tensai was short on breath after having his body move at that speed without the influence of his hidden power. That was stupid. It looks like I'll have to pace myself thought the young saiyan halfbreed shortly after his breathing became regular again. He would then run along the coast of the island at a speed which wasn't as fast as it was when he was running towards the coast, but it was definitely above human level. About an hour later, the sun was already beginning to set and Tensai came back to where Satin was falling on his ass and gasping for air while his body was covered in sweat.

I feel like I'm going to puke thought the young boy as his breathing started to slow down.

Satin was sitting down on the sand, her legs crossed with no cookies beside her. SHe had gotten extremly hungry and eaten them while he ran like a hog. 'I cant belive you actually ran? I mean well I would have but your just a child...' She thought not wanting to voice her oppinions, after all she had eaten all of his cookies, but then again she had finished the book as well so there was no way he would forgive her for this if she didn't move on with her lesson so that they could both be busy enough to not notice the missing cookie bag.

"Well now that your done with your workout and the fact that it's getting dark, now is the perfect time for me to assess you reflexes." Satin smirked at her apprentice kicking the empty bag of cookies behind her as she spoke. "Now I want you to tell me your abilities. SO that we can get started with this lesson." She said smiling nervously as she rubbed her neck.

Assess my reflexes? Shouldn't she be teaching me how to fight? thought the young saiyan child feeling cheated that he wasn't going to learn anything yet after running that far. But instead of complaining, the young halfbreed kept it to himself and listened to Satin as she asked him what were his abilities. After all, she as a teacher, Tensai figured that there had to be a reason for this test, but what was beyond the young child's mind.

"I can multiply and divide large numbers in my head. As for fighting... well I really don't know how to fight properly" said Tensai with a hint of pride as he told her about being able to multiply and divide large numbers in his head. Then all of a sudden, a light breeze went past Tensai and Satin causing the cookie bag to fly in the air, which the young saiyan halfbreed noticed out of the corner of his eye.

"Hey! You ate my all my cookies!" accused Tesai as he pointed his right index finger at her in accusation.

'When would math ever come in handy? You cant use it to fight, and you certainly wouldn't be able to use it in life for any reason once so ever. So why would they teach that in school and really what was the point of this?' She smacked herself in the head with her palm and faced her apprentice seriously. I want you too-" She had noticed the bag fly into the air after a gust of wind went past them both, she was doomed now. But he was only six years old, what could he do right, he probably wouldn't even notice it.

Satin then saw his finger point at her as if he were her mother or something. Then he muttered the words. "Hey! You ate my all my cookies!" Satin took a moment to reply before she had finally come up with the perfect answer. "I saw a hungry puppy, so I gave him your cookie before he passed out." She said seriously before grabbing his hand as roughly as she could, then she summoned all of her strength to throw him into the forest, weather or not this would work was up to how heavy he was.

She must be disappointed that I don't know how to fight properly thought Tensai as she smacked herself in the head with her palm. After accusing her of eating his cookies, Satin took a moment to think about how she was going to lie to the child before telling him that she saw a hungry puppy and gave him his cookie before he passed out. However, Tensai didn't believe a word she said due to the lapse in time between his accusation and her explanation. Before Tensai was able to say anthing, she forcibly grabbed his hand and threw him into the forest.

The young saiyan halfbreed panicked as he saw that he was about to hit a tree and that's when his mind went completely blank. All of a sudden, his power level tripled and his entire body was surrounded by a yellow aura. When the tree made contact with the aura, the section of the tree that was it disintegrated allowing his body to go through the opening before the tree fell to the ground on his side which scrapped his left arm. The scrape stung the young child and he couldn't help but cry from the pain. The kid's power level went back to normal and the yellow aura faded away the second his power level returned the normal with all of that happening before he hit the ground. If Satin saw what happened, one thing would be clear to her, the kid subconsciously used an energy attack.

Satin watched carefully as her apprentice was thrown into the forest, she didn’t want to miss anything. She saw him panic, noticing that he seemed to go into his crybaby mode again. However it seemed somehow that his power increased, to Satin’s surprise she didn’t know what to make of this. ’ How would I unlock his power? It seems that he’s only able to access it under extreme stress or fear. I cant exactly throw him at his opponents all of the time, I might as well try to get him to access his powers for now.’ She thought simply, her eyes were slightly tired and her body language seemed to appear moody as she continued to watch.

She then realized that his aura appeared to incinerate the center of the tree, making him go through the middle. However the tree was falling towards him, and ended up scraping his left arm. Tensai then preceded in his crying while Satin went along with her thoughts, to her surprise the child’s aura had gone away slightly before hitting the ground. ’Now if only we can find away to keep him in focus, he only performs on the sub-conscious level. Meaning I might have to teach him the basics of calling on his energy. What a handful.’ She thought lazily.

”If your done whining then I’d be glad to show you how we might be able to control that power of yours. Since you only access it when your unconscious you’ll need to learn how to control it from the beginning on.” She said walking towards him, careful not to step on anything since she was barefooted.

As Tensai continued to cry, the dark haired woman walked towards him carefully making sure not to step on any branches, twigs or something disgusting on the way. She told the young saiyan hybrid that she was going to teach him how to control his energy and that he needs to learn it from the beginning. The boy held his left arm in pain as he continued to cry and normally when this kind of thing happened, his mother or his father rushed towards him to see what was the matter and coddled him until he stopped crying. However, his parents weren't around this time around and Satin didn't seem like the kind of person who would be motherly.

Tensai took a deep breath to calm himself a bit and sucked up the snot that was dripping from his nose right back into it.

"Satin, can you give me a band aid or something?" asked the child as he sat up on his knees while holding his left arm in pain. It wasn't anything serious but the injury was giving him a stinging sensation, something a fighter would most likely ignore and keep on fighting.

Satin cringed at his weakness then shook her head slowly, she walked towards her apprentice. Emotions were unreadable and her arms were crossed making her appear to be mad. ”You don’t need a band aid. The only thing you need is get tougher. There’s no way I’m going to baby you like your parents did, I suggest you get used to it.” She said harshly.

’Does he honestly expect me to take care of such a minor wound? My mother never did that for me and neither did my father. Normal human families must be somehow weaker than I originally thought.’ She frowned with disgust and walked towards him again, she looked at his arm then put it down. ”You’re fine. ” She said simply. ”I suggest that we get started on some tactics now.” Satin was now completely ignoring the child’s pain, in an attempt to make him forget about it for the moment.

"But but I'm only six years old" whined Tensai even though he had a very strong feeling that Satin would tell him that he won't be six years old forever and that everybody needs to grow up sometime. After telling him that he was fine, Tensai got up from the ground as Satin suggested that they should focus on tactics. Since she told him that he was fine, Tensai didn't focus on the stinging pain of his arm believing that it was alright as it is as Satin said.

"Don't you think you should teach me some moves first like this?" asked Tensai as he threw a single jab with the only problem being that he kept his thumb within his fist. He would then throw a single high kick into the air with his right leg and as the leg remained in the air, Tensai waved his arms as he struggled to maintain balance before falling on his back.
