Drexx vs Ark A testing spar.

Orenji had often used the Zenzoken technique in their many spars. The android however, did not expect such a maneuver from Ark. Drexx's arm chopped through the air towards Ark's neck but met air not resistance. Drexx turned quickly and got a kick in the chest for his reward. He spiraled through the air and landed with a thud on the ground, skipping a few times before coming to a stop.

"Good... kick..." The android said through spasms of pain in his back. He quickly made his way to his feet and looked up into the air at the human.

"Orenji uses that move all the time, I should have expected it from you as well, seems like everyone I spar with uses it"

A silvery coating quickly spread out over Drexx body making him look like the silver surfer. His silver shield was akin to Ark's barrier, except it only protected against physical attacks, ki blasts and the like were likely to do even more damage to the android in this form. Drexx rocketed up towards Ark his arm rockets preparing for another shoryuken attack.

Smirking some Ark would watch as the android skips across the ground, hoping there was no serious damage done to his sparring partner. If he had any doubts whether Drexx felt pain they would be washed away as he gets to his feet, the solid kick definitely having been felt. Ready to continue he would choose to stay in place though as the other gets to his feet.

“Thank you. I am sure that Orenji has a better handle on it then me, that is the first time I have ever used it against someone, although it was easier with this new level of power. I suppose my thank you encompasses that as well.”

When the silvery liquid flows over the androids form, covering him from head to toe Ark didn’t know what to think. His mind would quickly start to travel down a couple of different paths. Perhaps it was something akin to the aura he had been blasted with before, or it might simply be some sort of protector against attacks. Still the liquid looked something like mercury, that substance of course dangerous to humans if too much is ingested or prolonged contact. Either way he wouldn’t have much more time to contemplate when Drexx comes at him.

Hovering in the air the human would let his opponent close in, letting him close before making his move. With the angle Drexx was approaching at Ark suspected he would try some sort of blow towards his stomach or up under his chin. Once he was close Ark would attempt to use his Zenzoken again, but this time to drop down below where he had previously been. If he was fast enough he would grab for both of the androids legs, not really sure what that liquid did, but hoping it would not burn his hands. Once he had a hold of him the human would yank down, trying to whip Drexx back down into the ground he had just risen from. So far they had been trading blows, no real combos landed by either of them. Hoping to change that Ark would follow after his descending opponent, trying to drive his fist into the androids back or chest, depending how he hit the ground…if he did at all.

The silver shield acted like a second skin for the android, hardening when kinetic force was applied to it, and though it looked like mercury it was something else entirely an element of unknown origin. Drexx didn't know where it came from, and it didn't much matter to the android he didn't look a gift horse in the mouth.

As the human combatant connected with a punch, he would feel the solidifying of the liquid and it would feel like punching a very hard wall. The android would feel no effect. Ark zenzokened, and appeared below the android, grabbing his legs and whipping the android into the ground throwing up chunks of dirt and dust. There was a crater beneath the android, but again he sustained no real damage. Turning, the android would find the human on top of him, driving fists into the android's chest, but again there was no damage inflicted to the android the closeness of the two fighters power-level making the silver shield all but impenetrable. Drexx was glad that Ark hadn't figured out the shields weakness to ki based attacks.

And that he was still on top of the android. The silver shield slipped away just in time for Drexx to activate his Eye of Horus attack, a ki based attack in the shape of the Eye of Horus with the android located in the center. The force of the ki would throw the human into the air and off of the android, and do some damage as well.

His fist would connect with the android, but each of the punches would leave Ark’s fists tingling. Apparently the strange liquid was some sort of shield to protect the android, the substance hardening on contact. Even when Ark drives down into his opponent, the fighter held on place with his back to the ground, his punch would still seem to have no effect.

The human possessed above average fighting skills, of that he was sure and his years of practice had only increased his skills. Despite his skill and techniques Ark was incredibly impressed with Drexx, the android seeming to have an endless list of techniques himself. On top of the other fighter there was no way that he would be able to avoid this new attack, watching the patter as it seems to form on the ground around Drexx, his very body at the center of it. He wouldn’t have much time to contemplate what the attack might be as it soon hits him, drawing a small groan from the human as he gets launched up into the air.

Blasted up into the air he would flail some, his bukujutsu not in effect since he had previously been ground. For a moment he thought about catching himself with it and putting some distance between him and the other fighter once again, but Drexx had bade him to come for him after unlocking this new level of power, and come for him he would. After reaching the apex of his forced assent Ark would simply let himself drop back down towards the android, pulling his right fist to aim it once against for his chest. Again he was going for a strike, but this time he planned to use his Force Palm technique again, hoping it would pack enough force to drive through that silver shield.

The silver shield spilled out over the android as the human went flying off of him. Drexx was running out of techniques to use against the human, his supply, although great was not limitless. The human flew high up into the air, surely taking damage from the move as well as being thrown off of the android. Drexx watched as he reached the apex of his assent and let himself fall right back towards himself, a fist poised and ready to strike.

Drexx rolled quickly out of the way, the humans fist slamming into the ground next to him, sending up more dirt and chunks of debris than the android would have thought, but then he caught the glimmer of ki energies around the human fighter's palm. He had attempted to use his force palm technique again. Drexx was thankful he had had the speed and wherewithal to roll out of the way.

The android sprung to his feet quickly and turned back to the human, but noticed those gathered in the circle around the spar talking excitedly and looking towards the entrance of Elder's fortress. Something was happening. Groups began to get their orders and leave.

"We're going to have to bring this spar to a close. But first i'd like to show you something." Drexx's computer brain quickly activating his Berserker Drive. The android knew there was no way the human could keep up with him in this form, but that wasn't the point. Drexx wasn't going to lay a hand on Ark when he was in this form, instead he was going to allow Ark to hit him with whatever it was the human wanted, showing off his incredible durability and strength. Rocks began to rise in the air as black lighting began to circle him even further, the very air crackling with his power. Even though the human would be unable to sense the change in him, there were visual ques that the android was not as he was mere moments before.

"This is my full power. Please, hit me with anything and everything you have." The android issued the open challenge and stood in front of the human, allowing him a free shot. A strong lesson he hoped to teach the human was that no matter how strong you are, you can always be stronger and with that strength you have a great responsibility. With Drexx's power, he chose to protect. He could see that Ark would be the same way.

In truth Drexx saw much great potential in the human. He hoped that when thing cleared up on Namek he may be persuaded to join The Protectorate. They could use someone like Ark, and Drexx was growing rather fond of him in their short spar together.

His palm would drive into the ground, small cracks spreading out from the point of impact. Ark had no idea that his Force Palm technique would have actually gone through the metallic liquid that surrounded Drexx. Rolling his neck he would stand back up straight, still in the center of the crater the androids originally impact had created. Turning to face his opponent he would see Drexx looking off behind him, wondering what might have drawn the others attention.

Having been enjoying himself so much the human had all but forgotten about the impending crisis. He had been told Namekians were disappearing and although their spar had been a bit longer then he originally anticipated they were still waiting for Orenji’s friend.

Drexx’s words would draw his attention back to the android, nodding some himself. “Very well, it would probably be for the best.” He wasn’t really sure what the android wanted to show him, but he would be glad to see it, quite impressed with his new companion already. As he watches the air would start to crackle around the android, but it wasn’t anything natural, the small black bolts seeming to be influence by what Ark could only assume was Drexx’s Ki. Looking around the man across from him he could see other rocks starting lift off the ground. A small smirk forms on his lips, realizing that his friend had been holding back this entire time, his power no doubt even greater than it had been moments before.

“ With everything I have? You got it.” If that is what Drexx wanted Ark would comply, he was sure the android wanted to show him the true power he possessed and Ark wanted to see it. Dropping back into his stance he would take a steadying breath, flexing his finger some before taking breaking into a sprint.

Ark would not waste time with fancy techniques this time, taking a straight path right to his opponent. Coming in at Drexx he would pull his fist back to try and drive it right into the androids chest, but his opponents arm would snap up slapping the humans arm to the side with blinding speed. Despite the fact he had barely been able to follow that movement Ark would spin on his heel, bringing his other leg up and around with a spin kick aimed for his head. The blow would not be deflected this time as Drexx’s arm snaps into motion again to block the blow. The androids arm would stop Ark’s leg with apparent easy, the humans leg stopped in mid motion.

It was incredibly, the speed and power the android could control with such easy and precision was beyond anything Ark had ever seen. Lowering his leg back down to the ground he would slowly pivot so that he was facing Drexx again. He would not rush the movement, assuming and hoping that he would not send in a strike of his own, not sure if he could handle such a blow. “Incredible Drexx, it seems I am outmatched, but let me give you the best shot I have to truly test myself. Ready yourself.”

Taking a step back Ark would take another deep breath, putting as much focus into his next movements as he could. Starting to channel Ki down his arm he would shift as his right arm slides back. If Drexx had seen his Force Palm hit the ground before he would know that is what he was going to try, using the technique to strike his opponent as hard as he could manage. Once he had the Ki in his arm he would lunge forward, putting his hip, back and shoulder into the strike as his arm drives forward towards the androids chest. If it were to connect he would blast the Ki from his hand, trying to strike Drexx with the strongest attack he knew.

The force palm technique slammed into the android's chest sending ripples of air and force out around them throwing rocks and dirt, those gathered too close to the combat would be thrown off their feet as the attack hit. It was an incredible move that would have crushed the sternum of a lesser man. To the android however, it did nearly nothing, the power level of Drexx too great for the human's attack to overcome. Drexx had shown off his great speed and agility in his Berserker drive form, easily swatting aside or blocking any of the human's attacks. Ark was quite obviously impressed. But perhaps not so much as Drexx was with the human.

"I must say i've enjoyed this fight more than perhaps any other I've been in, it was a chance to test my martial arts, and in that respect I find you equal to myself, if not superior. I simply had the advantage of a higher power, and a metal body."

Drexx powered down and stuck his hand out towards the human fighter.

"I'm very impressed with you Ark, after we deal with the situation here I'd like to talk to you about The Protectorate. It's a group of fighters determined to protect the weak and helpless. I think you'd be a perfect fit, and I'd like to try and convince you to join."

Ark was not overly surprised when Drexx just takes his attack, the human having already figured out the gap in their power was just too great for his attacks to be effective. Still Ark was glad to have found this new power within him, and he had the android to thank for this. He was a kind soul that seemed to enjoy a good spar as much as Ark did, perhaps in the future he would challenge him again….when he could give him a real run for his money. Powering down he would roll his shoulders some as Drexx speaks, gladly taking the man’s hand when he extends it.

“Thank you Drexx, but you are giving me more credit then I deserve. Let’s just both agree that we can handle ourselves.” The human’s eyebrow would raise over his lavender eye as Drexx speaks of The Protectorate, his hand lifting to scratch his head some. It wasn’t that he was against defending those that needed help, but if he was to join with him that would no doubt lead to more fighting, something he hoped to avoid. “Lets discuss that at another time, we should deal with what is going on here first. He was dodging the statement, but at the same time had not said he would not, it was definitely something they would need to discuss in the future.
