A month had passed since Eona awoke in the forest of Yanzabit Heights. A month since Jorlaxl took her in, and a month since she had entered the school. But now, here she was, wondering the streets of Satin City. Eona had been excited to explore it after hearing other students talk of it, though many had cautioned her. Aliens weren't welcome in the city anymore. Not that they knew if she even was an alien. After all, Eona didn't know herself. But here she was, dressed like any other human being. She had discarded the flowy blue robes, opting for a much more modern look. She wore a pair of dark tan capries and a light blue, ruffled tank top. Strappy sandals adored her feet, her normal jangles gone. Eona looked like any other normal human girl out for a walk. All in all, it was perfect.
If not for the expression of nervous fear that adorned her sweet face. She jumped at every car horn, stumbled at any electrical sound that made it's way to her. She bumped into passerbys, stuttering apologies only to trip into another. Eona had no idea what was going on, her limited memory holding no recognition of anything she passed. The people on the streets gazed at her with curiosity. Some harshly, some pitiful. Either way, it was more than Eona could take.
After muttering apologies to yet another she bumped into, Eona dashed into the alleyway nearest her. Leaning against the wall, she sighed, head down. This isn't getting me anywhere.. With a small groan, she slid down the wall, head in her hands. I should have just stayed at the school where I belong...
"Hey there cutie."
Letting out a small squeak of surprise, Eona raised her head to find three men before her. Each were grinning, leering down at the small girl. The one in the middle leaned down, his beady black eyes moving over her in a way that made her skin crawl.
"What's a cutie like you doing in a place like this?" he asked, chucking. The other two, clearly the less intelligent subordinates chuckled behind him, going so far as to even echo him. Scared, Eona pressed herself against the wall, bringing her knees to her chest.
"I-I just needed a moment," she stuttered out. The leader grinned, reached out and grabbing her by the wrist.
"Why don't you spend a moment with us then?" he said with a smirk, leaning closer.

Drexx walked across the street, arms full of bags. The bags were full of groceries and supplies, not for him but for handing out to locals in Satan city. Drexx knew there was an overabundance of homeless in Satan city and he could think of no better use of his money than to help those in need. That was his thing. He didn't need to eat, he didn't need to sleep, he didn't need to drink. So he spent his money on others, and dedicated his time to making the world a better place. It was a small thing he could do, but it was part of his duty as the Perfect Protector. Protect the weak and all that.
He stopped as he passed an alleyway with some commotion coming from it. Three men were surrounding something, and that something seemed to be struggling against one of the three's grip around it's wrist. Drexx walked up and put a hand on one of the three's shoulders.
"Pardon me gents, but I don't think the lady appreciates you're gripping of her arm."
The man turned and looked Drexx up and down. He let out a laugh and nudged his other friend to turn and look. They both sneered at the android, though neither man knew he was an android.
"I think you made your way down the wrong alley." One said cracking his knuckles. The other picked up a bottle and broke it across the wall.
"Oh i'm now quite certain this is the right alley. And i'm also quiet certain that you're going to release that young woman and walk away right now. This is your only warning."
He turned towards the girl and gave a slight bow.
"I am Drexx, and I am your friend."

Her head turned as a voice made it's way to the group. A man came into the alleyway, arms loaded down with bags. She recognized him! He was from the Crane School. Eona had never talked to him before, and had only seen him in passing. But if he was from the school, she knew she could trust him. Right? The man holding her wrist looked over at the man, smirking. With a sharp tug, he pulled Eona to her feet. She stumbled, running into. With a grin, the man wrapped his free arm around her waist, pressing her body against his.
"Look, friend, take a hike. We say this one first," he said. The man with the broke bottle stepped up, pointing the sharp ends at Drexx. Wide eyed, Eona squirmed.
"Let me go!" she cried, bringing her knee up. It connected beautifully, the man letting out a gasp of air as he let go, doubling in pain. Eona waisted no time and jumping back, running to hide behind Drexx. Her hands were shaking as she tentatively grasped the back of his shirt, peeking out from behind him.

"You little bitch..." The doubled over man said between gasps. Her knee had hit home quite effectively it seemed. He made to mover towards her but Drexx stepped in front of Eona protectively. He had seen her around the school, knew she was a good person, sensed it in her you could say. There was a pervasive innocence about her that reminded Drexx of himself. He was not going to allow anything to happen to her.
As for the current situation he had seen and heard more than enough. These were bad people and their thoughts were vile. How they could even think to do... it sickened him. He turned and set his bags down at the feet of Eona, who looked up at him frightened. These men were sick creatures, and she had had every right to be frightened by them.
"Watch these for me okay?" He gave her his most comforting smile and turned to face the men. "I warned you." He would not kill them, there was no need for that. But they were in need of a lesson.
The one with the bottle stabbed at Drexx, and it hit home. The shards broke against Drexx's flesh like water upon rocks. He grabbed the man's arm as it too connected with is chest, the look of shock on his face not fully registering the danger he was in. He chopped the man across the neck with just enough power to knock him out. He turned towards the other two and fell into a fighting stance.
"You call yourselves men, but you prey on those who appear weak. Your thoughts are vile and in need of some serious adjusting."
The sight of Drexx knocking their friend unconscious appeared to have little effect on the two, neither did his words. There was too much testosterone, too much adrenaline. They came at him, the closest of the two pulled out a knife, the one whom Eona had kneed shakily withdrew a gun from inside his jacket. The gun was a shock to Drexx, and he wondered what effect it would have on his body. The man aimed and fired, and Drexx felt the slug bounce off his shoulder. It had stung, but it had not penetrated skin. The man with the knife rushed forward. Slashing at air as Drexx dodged about. He brought his knee into the man's chest and spun through the air to land a harsh kick to the side of his head. He went down like a sack of potatoes being dropped.
The final man pointed the gun at Eona, and Drexx froze. He wasn't sure what effect the gun would have on the girl and he certainly didn't want to find out.

The men attacked. Drexx was a skilled fighter, that was plain enough to anyone. Even so, Eona still let out a small cry as he was attacked withthe broken bottle. The bottle that broke against his skin, not even scratching it. She stepped back, eyes wide with fear. Eona knew she had nothing to fear from Drexx, but as she watched him take what would normally be fatal hits, she wondered what kind of being he was exactly. As the man she had hit pointed a metal device at her, she saw Drexx freeze.
Eona had never seen a gun before, didn't even know what one was. But, it didn't hurt Drexx, right? So why should it hurt her? The man grinned, straightening, gun still pointed at her.
"Yeah, you stay right there, got it? Both of you. Now, I don't know what you are you alien freak, but you're going to walk away or I'm gonna shoot her in the head, got it?" he spat out. Still not sure what the gun was, Eona stepped foreword.
"Please just let us-AH!" she was cut off as the man fired the gun, the bullet grazing her left arm. Pain exploded and she clutched at the cut with her free hand. Blood welled up underneath her fingers and tears sprung to the edge of her silver eyes. Whatever that metal device was, it was defiantly dangerous. Why it had no effect on Drexx, she didn't know. All she did know was that she didn't want to be shot at again.

Drexx's reaction to Eona getting shot was almost immediate. His eye beams slammed into the man's hand and his gun went flying. The man stared down at the stump where his hand used to be and looked around confused. He immediately went into shock and fell to his knees on the ground searching around desperately for his hand. Drexx rushed forward and brought his knee into the man's face whilst grabbing the back of his head and bringing it towards his knee. His unconscious body fell as blood ran down his face from his broken nose.
Drexx ran over to Eona and tore his shirt off, exposing his cut physique and the deepening black and blue welt where the bullet had hit his shoulder. He wrapped it around Eona's arm tight in a tourniquet. He looked her in the eyes and smiled his best calming smile.
"Don't worry it's a superficial wound. You'll be okay. It just hurts. I'm tying my shirt around your arm to stop the blood okay?"
He finished the knot and made sure it was tight. Drexx turned and looked at the alley. The three men lay unconscious, each in varying states of disrepair. He let out a sigh, man was an interesting beast. All of this in hopes of what...? He shuddered to think what they might have done had he not intervened. He turned back to Eona.
"You okay?"

His hand... It was gone. One second he was pointing the gun at her and the next, it was gone. Only a stump where his hand was remained and out of the corner of her eyes, Eona could see his hand holding tightly onto the gun, finger still on the trigger. The man dispatched of his quickly before coming over. in any other situation, Eona would have flushed and turned away as he removed his shirt. But, she couldn't take her eyes off of the bloody stump. It was only when the sharp sting of fabric against the open wound hit her that she snapped out of it. She turned her gaze away, lighting her hand to touch the make-shift bandage.
"Th-thank you very much for saving me," she said, giving him a shaky smile. She wished she remembered his name. Her eyes went to the black and blue bruise on his shoulder and she gaze a small gasp.
"You're hurt!" she exclaimed, stepping closer and laying a hand on it. It felt like a hard weight had settled in her stomach, the thought of him being hurt saving her killing her. Eona may not have any memory of who she used to be, but right now, she hated it when others were hurt. As she touched the bruise lightly with her fingers, she could only wish that it would disappear.
With that wish, a feeling of warmth spread through her, reaching up from the center of her chest, through her arm, to the tips of her fingers. A soft 'oh' escaped her lips as a silvery blue light spread from her fingers to his chest, covering the bruise completely. As she drew back her hand, the light faded, bruise and pain gone.

Drexx could tell that Eona was in shock from his vicious blast to the man's hand, removing it from it's place at the end of his wrist. He began to feel bad about it but staring down at the young woman's bullet wound steeled himself. The man had gotten what he deserved, maybe even better than he deserved.
"Th-thank you very much for saving me" She said, giving Drexx a shaky smile. He could tell the whole ordeal had upset her and in truth it had upset him too. Man was a mad animal when consumed by desire. His was shocked at her gasp when she noticed his injury. He was about to say it was nothing but she intervened.
"You're hurt!" He didn't know what she was doing as she stepped forward and laid a hand on the injury. A few moments later a silvery-bluish light appeared from her hand and when she removed it the injury was completely healed. He stared in wonder at the girl in front of him, seeing her in a completely different light.
"That's amazing! You're amazing!" He didn't want to embarrass her but he was completely enthralled with her healing ability. "How ever did you learn you could do that?!" He looked at the scene around them. It would probably be a good idea to get out of there.
"I know of this coffee shop just around the corner if you want to talk there instead of..." He gestured all around them to the garbage strewn alley littered with the three bodies of the men. "Here."

She was indeed embarrassed at Drexx's next words. She was about to explain that she didn't know how she did that, or when it even came from. He spoke again though before she could explain and with a small glance at the three men, she gave a nod. Eona picked up one of the bags, peeking out of the alley way before turning and giving him a small smile.
"All clear she said," stepping out onto the sidewalk once more. She let Drexx lead, having no idea where this coffee shop was. Truthfully, she didn't even know what one was. The first time Eona had ever heard of coffee was a couple weeks ago when one of the students offered it to her in the morning. She had hated it, the bitter taste messing with her stomach for the rest of the day. She wondered why he was going to a shop that sold it, and why he wanted her to come along. One really couldn't talk nicely when one was shopping. At least, that's what she believed. She turned her gaze to him before looking ahead once more.
"My name is Eona. Thank you Drexx, for saving me," she said quietly, a soft pink rising to her cheeks. She held the bag in front of her with both hands. It wasn't heavy, but she knew that if she had a free hand, she'd be messing with the bandage around her arm. It was itching ever so slightly, and felt a bit warm. she hoped that it wasn't infected, or that the thing he shot at her wasn't dipped in poison.

"It was my pleasure! I've seen you around the school a couple of times but have never introduced myself and for that I truly do apologize. I'm usually very open, but here on Earth... Well my kind is one of the least liked people." In a hushed voice he added "I'm an android you see." He turned and continued walking. He had hoped she wouldn't react badly to that, but if she did he was willing to accept whatever she said.
He stopped in front of a quaint little bakery/coffee shop. The smell of things baking and bread rising filled his nostrils and he wished not for the first time that he had a stomach. He had saved the owners a while ago from bandits and had been friends with them ever since. He opened the door and the bell attached to it gave a soft ring. The smell of baked goods intensified immediately. A small elderly woman ran up to them and took Drexx's face in her hands. She kissed him on both cheeks. She had wrinkles all over her face and white hair pulled back in a bun, her apron was untied at the back and covered with flour.
"Drexx! You're looking lovely. Why don't you have a shirt on? Oh Never-mind." She shuffled away behind the counter and returned with a button down shirt belonging to her husband. Drexx set his bags down next to one of the tables and quickly dressed. "Who is this lovely thing!? Drexx if she isn't your girlfriend she outta be!" Drexx blushed and shook his head.
"Mia this is Eona, She's just a friend. She's in need of some comfort food I think, whatever it is she wants, it's on me."
Mia gave a chuckle and hurried behind the counter, fussing with her apron. Drexx took the bag from Eona's hands and set it down on the floor next to their table. He sat down and kicked his feet up until Mia gave him a harsh look. The elderly woman then turned her attention towards Eona with the look of a grandmother getting ready to feed her grandchildren.

An android? She had never heard of such a thing. Maybe it was a type of alien? The other students had mentioned that aliens weren't welcome. It was why they urged her to dress like a normal human girl, and cover up the strange markings on her back. Though, the stylized, almost wave-like patterns still peeked out from the top of the shirt. They were same color at the glow that had come from her only moments before. Though, she didn't even realize that.
They came to a small shop with deserts in the window. The most amazing smell came from it and as the door opened, her stomach gaze a soft growl. A very kind looking woman came over. Eona smiled at her. Drexx seemed quite familiar with her and she could only wonder if the woman was a close relative or something of the sort. She gave almost a soft bow as the woman noticed her. She didn't know what the term 'girlfriend' meant, though by the flush on Drexx's cheeks, she had an idea.
"It's very nice to meet you Ma'am," she said with a sweet smile. She followed him to the table, sitting down across from him. Eona's back was straight, her hands in her lap and her legs crossed to the side at the ankles. Whoever she really was, she had obviously had a proper upbringing. Though at this point, it was all speculation to her. Eona's gaze wandered around the cafe.
"This place is lovely," she said, smiling at Drexx.

"It is, isn't it? I wish I could actually eat some of the food that Mia prepares. She's a world renowned baker." Mia brought over a platter of baked goods and set it down in front of them, steam wafting gently upwards and filling Drexx's nose with delicious scents.
"Mia you torture me." The old woman let out a laugh and patted Drexx on the shoulder.
"Sorry kiddo, these are all for the lady! Look how proper she is! If I had to guess I would say she's a princess or a queen. The pleasure is all mine deary, any friend of Drexx's is a friend of mine." She shuffled away and tried to look busy, but was quite clearly eaves dropping on the two. Drexx laughed and shook his head.
"Mia is a sweet old woman, and a teriffic cook. Here dig in!" He passed the plate of cookies and sweets over to Eona. "I like to think that the one covered in icing would be my favorite... It certainly smells the best"
Mia let out a small yelp when she finally noticed the wound on Eona's shoulder and hurried over to her inspecting the nasty gash.
"Deary how on Earth did this happen?" She shook her head "never-mind I don't want to know, hold on i'll get my sewing kit and some disinfectant and we'll have you all good as new." She shuffled off into her back room muttering how a pretty girl shouldn't be getting hit with bullets.

Mia truly was sweet, like Eona would picture the perfect grandmother. Her stomach let out another growl as the plates of sweets were set down. She blushed and smiled.
"Thank you very much," she said soft, embarrassed. Eona wasn't used to being the center of attention. In the school, she usually just hung back in the shadows. Helping out to cook meals, or doing repairs, or even helping with first aide. Though, this is the first time she's ever healed someone with a touch. She was curious however about Drexx. How he said he couldn't eat anything, though he obviously wanted to. Maybe it was part of him being an alien android.
"Why can't you eat?" she asked, curious. Eona picked up a small tart covered with fresh fruit and what smelt like cream cheese glaze. Before she could take a bite though, Mia started fussing about her arm. setting the tart down, Eona glanced at it. The itching and warmth had left. Curious, she reached over and untied the shirt from her arm. The material fell away, showing her arm. There wasn't a scratch there! The only hint that there had been any wound was the fact that his shirt had her blood on it.

Mia let out a gasp when the cloth fell away and there was no wound. Her hands shot up to cover her mouth and her eyes were wide with disbelief.
"How... did... you.. just... Oh dear. Well doesn't that beat all?" Mia beamed. "The lovely lady can heal as well! I swear I've seen more miracles in the past few weeks than the rest of my entire life put together." She shuffled back towards the counter and poured herself a cup of tea to calm herself down. She noticed Eona had put the pastry back down and added"Eat deary, don't let me stop you."
Drexx smiled and looked at the spot where Eona's wound had been only minutes before. The young lady was growing more and more impressive by the minute. Drexx was starting to wonder if she was human, or perhaps something else entirely.
"You truly are incredible Eona. As to why I can't eat? Well i'm not exactly built for that... You see as an android, i'm a combination of flesh and machine. The outside of me is flesh and blood, but my insides are all mechanical. So I don't really have a place to digest food..." He trailed off as once again the sweet smells hit his nostrils. He realized he had been making a face.
"It's okay, it's a trade off. I never get hungry or thristy, I don't need to breath and I don't need to sleep. Leaves me with a lot of free time." He let out a laugh and shrugged.
"So tell me more about yourself Eona. I must say you fascinate me, in an entirely good way"

Eona stared at her arm, hardly hearing Mia. Twice in one day something strange had happened. She had healed Drexx. Then her arm had healed. How did it happen? Was she really an alien like the students may have thought? If so, what did that mean for her? She had seen the news, she knew that unregistered aliens were unwelcome on Earth. Should she register? What would she even register under? She practically jumped when Mia spoke again.
"Y-yes Ma'am," she said, picking up the tart. Taking a small bite, the sweet flavor brought her back completely. It really was delicious! Eona relaxed, taking another bite as he explained. So, an android was like a machine? Like the machines she had seen so far. But, he looked so human. He even bruised! How could that be? It was all very confusing to her, truthfully.
Her gaze dropped as he asked about her, her smile fading. Gently, she laid the tart back down, hands once again in her lap. Hesitating, she spoke.
"I...I'm afraid I can't tell you much. My only memories are the ones I've made at the Crane School this past month. Jorlaxl found me in the woods there. All I can remember is my name..." she explained softly. Eona raised her head, watching him carefully. There were few that knew about this, and a mix of sympathy and pity always painted their face whenever it was brought up. So with her mouth set in a thin line, Eona waited for that same look.
